Just booked - Disney and Universal family holiday July 2026

Giving back

When you book with Soar & Explore, a donation is made to Leeds Children’s Charity. I’ve just donated for holidays booked in March, April and May.

It costs on average £250 per child to stay for a week at Lineham Farm. Since partnering with the charity in November we have raised £595. We want to support as many deprived and disadvantaged children as possible to have their first bike ride, nature walk, warm bed. For many children it is a first holiday from their difficult, and sometimes abusive, home lives.

Yesterday I booked a 9th family for Lapland this December 🧑‍🎄

I have clients doing a day trip (yes you can fly there and back same day from many UK airports), others doing 2-3 night breaks with top family Lapland companies (in some cases grandparents are going along to) and I have a family with older children doing an adult-only break over New Year. I also have a family going for the second time!

Some clients have allergies, fussy eaters, sensory differences.

Some are staying in log cabins, glass roofed cabins, luxury hotel rooms with saunas.

All of them are doing at least some of the following activities: visiting Santa, husky sledding, reindeer sleigh ride, snowmobiling, snowshoeing.

All will have thermal suits and boots provided for the extremely cold weather.

Some will be lucky and see a Northern Light spectacle!

With each family I have listened to what they want from this special trip, helped them navigate the options and differences between the companies/accommodations and booked them the trip that best matched their wish list and budget.

It’s also not too early to book for December 2026. Trips are secured with a deposit and then you have longer to look forward to and pay for the holiday.

There’s no greater compliment than….

As disappointing as it was to not get a week of sunny days, we had an amazing holiday.

It was just what we needed- quality time together and a break from school, work, nursery, chores, life admin!

💦Owen conquered water slides and woggle swimming
🛝Rory took his bravery up another notch and did the bullet straight down slide that you couldn’t pay me to do
🔫Many water fights, sticker books and naps by the pool
🃏So many rounds of Happy Families card game, I can’t even count
🤣Giggles at the kids shows
🍦An obscene number of icecreams - in fact the kids are 90% nugget and ice cream right now
📚I read a book! - The Other Valley- highly recommend
🎨Rory got a “waterproof” spray tattoo that cost too many euros and washed off in the pool the next day
🏓On the rainy days we enjoyed the indoor pool, Padel tennis, table tennis, arcade games, bowling and I had a massage in the spa
💄I went without make up for the whole week without feeling the pressure to put on a face for dinner only to wash it all off two hours later
👔 Meanwhile the kids loved putting on their “smart boy” matching shirts for dinner

The kids skipped everywhere the whole week full of happiness. Despite the overcast days and thunderstorms, we had a great time together and the best part, I return to work tomorrow to a job I love! Thank you to those who have been waiting patiently for me, I’ll be in touch over the next two days.
