My Room tour !!! Sadly not the room tour I was meant to be showing you I had an amazing weekend in Malta planned this weekend. It is on hold and thank you to Iniala Valletta and ax odycy Malta for being so understanding and i will be there soon ! Thank you to in Barnet for the quick treatment and removing my appendix - trip on hold for the moment and I’m back home and feeling quite good after some skilful keyhole surgery !

POV: you woke up determined to explore to see the monkeys … and ended up witnessing one of these rare primates moving through the jungle canopy outside your room. 🌿🐒

A really chilled family of endangered Black-shanked Douc Langurs hunting for food high in the treetops at sunrise — completely wild, completely silent except for the movement of the leaves. #
Moments like this are why places like Six Senses Ninh Van Bay feel so special. Nature still leads here.

These langurs are critically endangered and protected in Vietnam, making sightings like this special. Watching them move together as a family through the forest felt less like wildlife spotting… and more like being allowed briefly into their world.

And in between breakfast and dinner….

We checked out the local town - Côn Đảo isn’t the kind of place that shouts for attention—and that’s exactly its charm. It’s understated, soulful, and feels incredibly authentic.
Wandering into the town gives you a real glimpse of island life. The local market is wonderfully chaotic in the best way—stalls overflowing with dried fish (yes, even seahorses), baskets of vibrant fresh fruit. It’s as much a social spot as a market.

What I loved is how this isn’t just for locals—much of that produce ends up at Six Senses Con Dao, where it’s used alongside their own homegrown produce. It’s that seamless blend of luxury and locality that makes the experience feel so considered.

Is a trip to Asia one of there isn’t 1 or 2 temple visits. With a guide we visited Miếu Bà Phi Yến. There’s something incredibly grounding about it. Learning about the local legend of Bà Phi Yến—her strength, loyalty, and tragic story. It’s not just a temple visit; it’s a window into the island’s spirit. You see locals coming to pray, leaving offerings, lighting incense… it’s quiet, respectful, and moving.

Côn Đảo as an island really surprised me. It’s not polished in the way some destinations are—and that’s exactly why it stands out. It’s raw, rich in culture, and beautifully connected to its roots.

It’s a good spot in its own right or one at the end of a multi stop tour

Ho Chi Minh City, by night 🇻🇳✨
As I was travelling solo for the first part of this trip and only had a short stay, I booked a back-of-a-bike food tour thanks to for sorting for me — and it was a great decision.

Such an incredible way to eat like a local, cover so much of the city, and really understand the culture behind the food.

You hop on the back of a bike with a local (my driver, Hoa, .ng has basically been on a bike since she was a baby, so I felt completely at ease!) — weaving through hidden alleys, buzzing districts, and street food spots you’d never find alone… or fit into one evening.

This isn’t just a food tour — it’s a full sensory adventure. Think sizzling street-side grills, secret family recipes, and flavours that tell the real story of Saigon — all carefully tried, tested, and trusted for a truly authentic experience.

Dishes I tried :
Crab broth - puffed rice - the broth was amazing !
Rice paper pizza with shredded pork
Sticky Rice rolls filled with pork, papaya, cucumber and dipping sauces
My favourite was the green papaya salad sitting on a kerb with locals
Desert - flan in Vietnamese coffee
