Gardening and hot tub days at Ponden: Today, Monday 1st May / next weekend…

My mum picking the first of the wonderful daffodils this Spring, that we’ve planted over the years. These ones were just planted last November for Brenda’s birthday - what lovely new additions to the land.

My mum planting some bulbs at Ponden that she got for her birthday - wild daffodil and bluebell bulbs from her brother and sister in law.

Our lovely friendly robin that comes to say hello whenever we or guests are in the cottage garden. We still can’t quite believe how tame he is and that he seems to come when you call him.

An area at the top of Ponden land is currently being landscaped for camping/glamping… We now have a Forest School using the land by the stream and having campers there isn’t compatible with that, so we’ve started landscaping an area at the top which was occasionally used by campers but wasn’t very flat. It now has lovely flat tiered areas which, once grassed over, will be a lovely spot for camping.
