Crossing to Europe on DFDS Newcastle to Amsterdam on Half board basis
Executive coach travel to Cologne to meet your River cruise, and return.
Itinerary: We leave North West area on Monday 1st December approx 10.00am and make our way to Newcastle for our overnight crossing to Amsterdam. Bucks Fizz breakfast will be served on the coach.
We join our DFDS crossing to Amsterdam
The vessels operating on this overnight route between Newcastle and Amsterdam are called cruise ferries because of their impressive entertainment and leisure facilities. Sail to Europe on this route and your holiday or break will begin the moment you step onboard!

We disembark in Amsterdam, and travel to Cologne in Germany, where we will meet our River cruise. Depending on travel time, we may have a little free time to explore Cologne Christmas Market before we join our River cruise. We will spend the next 4 nights on board this ship on All inclusive basis. The ship will leave Cologne @ 17.00 hours.
Our first port of call is Rudesheim, we arrive in the morning, you will have the day to explore this wonderful town. You have the Christmas market, or sit and relax with a Asbach Brandy, which is distilled in the town. We leave Rudesheim @ 16.00 hours and continue to Mainz for the evening, you will have a couple of hours to explore.
Next day we wake up in Frankfurt, once again, you will have a full day to look around this amazing city. The Christmas market is one of the largest, and most popular in Germany. We depart Frankfurt early hours of the morning, and make our way back up the Rhine to Koblenz, passing the Lorelei valley in the morning. We arrive in Koblenz mid afternoon, you will have free time to look around Koblenz. Koblenz is where the Rhine meets the Mosel river. We leave Koblenz @ 21.30 hours and travel to Cologne, where we arrive early morning. We disembark the ship and join our coach, and travel into Holland to Amsterdam to join our crossing back to Newcastle. Traffic dependant, we may have a little free time in Amsterdam to explore before joining our crossing.
You will have a chance to stock up on duty free on the boat for Christmas.
We arrive into Newcastle, and continue home, arriving early afternoon.
