The Sail House Yurt at Pengelly Retreat is such a beautiful place to escape into the peace and tranquillity of nature 🍃

Surrounded by lakes on both sides it’s a real wildlife haven, so you can while away lazy afternoons watching the bird life - look out for the resident kingfisher, grey heron & even a visiting commorant

You can wild swim in the lake, paddle board and swing in comfy cocoon chair for 2. Enjoy a bbq under the stars before settling into to your cosy yurt for the night, get the log burner on, soak in the en-suite bathtub and relaaa###x 😴

Sunny summer skies and little hints of autumn on a walk over the cliffs at Praa Sands today ☀️☀️🍂

Does anyone else feel like autumn begins in August it is it just me?! Maybe the seasons start early in Cornwall 🤔

Either way the views were stunning on the Cornish cliffs, and the fresh air, peace & quiet just dreamy 💙

Sunshine and summertime vibes at the Pengelly Retreat lake today ☀️☀️☀️

We’re loving the warm, sunny weather here in Cornwall - where it never gets that hot because there’s always a bit (or a lot!) of a sea breeze.

It was the perfect afternoon for swimming in the lake with surrounded by beautiful nature, dragonflies and birds 🩵

☀️ Where do you like to BBQ? 😎

We’re definitely into bbq season here in Cornwall. The weathers sunny, the skies are big and the air is fresh ☀️

Both our lakeside Cabin and Yurt have outdoor fire pits so you can toast marshmallows under the stars and enjoy a tasty BBQ by the lake.

This is our Cabin’s fire pit & seating area, it’s really private, tucked away behind the reeds to the right of the Cabin - just you & nature. And possibly one of our cats might drop in to visit if they smell something delicious on the BBQ 🐈 😂

The beautiful Boat House Cabin at Pengelly Retreat has been upgraded with some gorgeous new soft furnishings. So it’s feels super warm & snug at all times of year.

Chilly outside? No problem, get the log burner blazing, crack open a bottle of red and snuggle up with the views of the lake outside your floor to ceiling windows 💕

Too lazy to light the fire - no worries because the underfloor heating will keep you warm anyway! 🔥

Watch the stars come out in the dark skies and then roll down the screen to watch a movie with the home cinema kit 🍿

The things photographers have to do to catch the perfect shot….

Here’s the lovely .stylist braving a small rowing boat to photograph the Boat House Cabin from the Pengelly Retreat wild swimming lake 💦

Luckily .watty was there to make sure no cameras (or persons) went overboard 😂

Looking forward to seeing the images from this photoshoot - a great way to showcase their interior mini-makeover in our beautiful 🧡

❤️ Bath-tub beauties! ❤️

We love a nice soak in a bath tub full of bubbles 🫧 so we had to make sure both our beautiful lakeside houses at Pengelly Retreat had baths too.

At the Sail House Yurt you’ll find bath tub no.1 in the en-suite bathroom while at the Boat House Cabin bath tub no. 2 comes with a rather fabulous lake view.

So you can either enjoy outdoor bath and indoor shower at the Cabin or outdoor shower and indoor bath at the Yurt. So lots of bath tub soaking, lake swimming and hot showering all round!

Which bath tub floats your boat!? 🛁 💕

🐈 Checking out the facilities at Pengelly Retreat, 🐈

We have 2 beautiful cats at Pengelly, a brother and sister, who do love to come and check out the lakeside cabin and yurt. They are basically living the dream with beautiful gardens to roam about in and nice cosy accommodation to return to!

You might well see them when you come and stay, they like a bit of fuss and a stroke - unless you’re coming with your dog in which case they reserve the right to not make an appearance 😂 🐶
