What is the best compliment a holiday cottage owner can receive? 💙

A lovely review?

They’re all incredibly special, but I think this might top them all…

Just over half an hour from Penty Myghal lies the beautiful bay of Sennen Cove 🌊💙

With its turquoise water, sweeping sandy beach, welcoming places to eat and the chance to watch the RNLI practice launches, it’s one of those places that captures the magic of Cornwall perfectly.

And if you stay long enough for sunset, you’ll be treated to one of the most breathtaking views in Cornwall as the sun drops beside Cape Cornwall ☀️

Definitely one of our favourite spots for a day by the sea 🩵

The votes were counted (well let’s face it - they were unanimous 😆) and the new patio sofa set has officially arrived at Penty Myghal ☀️🩵

We wanted something comfortable enough for long lazy mornings with coffee, sunny afternoons with a good book and relaxed evenings with a glass of fizz after a day exploring Cornwall — and we absolutely love how this little corner has come together 💙

Now all we need is for the sunshine to stay and for guests to start making themselves at home out here 🌿🥂

Five years ago today we welcomed our very first guests to Penty Myghal 🩵

Back then I could never have imagined quite how much this little former sail loft — and all the wonderful people who stay here — would come to mean to us.

Since then we’ve welcomed returning families, couples celebrating special occasions, solo escapees needing some peace and quiet, muddy walkers, sea swimmers and so many beloved four-legged guests too 🐾

There have been harbour sunsets, stormy seas, cream teas, BBQ evenings, cosy log burner nights and countless happy memories made within these walls 💙

What makes me proudest though is how many guests come back year after year and tell us that Penty Myghal feels like their home from home. That will never stop meaning the world.

Thank you so much to everyone who has stayed with us, supported us, recommended us and followed along here over the last five years — you’ve helped make this little business something incredibly special 🩵

Here’s to the next chapter at Penty Myghal 🌊

The hedgerows in Cornwall are looking absolutely beautiful at the moment 🌿💙

Everything feels so lush and alive right now and every walk seems to bring something new to notice.

This year I’ve spotted two flowers that I don’t recognise at all, so I’ve popped photos of them below 👇 (I know the violets 💜)

Does anyone know what they are? Please put me out of my misery and educate me! 🌸😊
