As 2024 draws to a close.... what better time to reflect on a few highlights from this year.

Timings: Leave Ross 9:00am., Hereford 9:30am., Leominster 10:00am Depart and back to Leominster 5:00pm, Hereford 5:30pm and Ross 6:00pm.
Costs: Including travel and entry £29.00 per person.

Tuesday 23rd July – Dragonfly Canal Cruise and Brecon
On behalf of Tupsley Townswomen’s Guild
We will arrive at Brecon at approximately 11:00am and our cruise is from 12:00 until 2:30pm, so please feel free to bring a packed lunch. There will be drinks and lights snacks (cakes) available to purchase during the cruise. There is free time to explore Brecon a little more after the cruise before heading home.
Timings: Leave Hereford Whitehouse Hub 9:30am., Hereford Merton Meadow Car Park 9:45am Depart and back to Hereford Merton Meadow 6:00pm and Hereford Whitehouse Hub 6:15pm.

Wednesday 24th July - Churches Tour around the Cotswolds with Tim Bridges
Timings: Leave Leominster 8:00am., Hereford at 8:30am., Ross on Wye 9:00am. We will depart and travel back to Ross at 5:30pm, Hereford at 6:00pm, and then Leominster at 6:30pm.

Wednesday 7th August – West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley with Safari Ranger coach tour

Yesterday we returned from our very lovely holiday in Switzerland.
Wow, what a place! Stunning views around every corner with friendly people and staff at the Central Sport hotel in Davos.
We visited Davos, Chur, Klosters, St Moritz and took the Bernina Express down to Tirano in Italy.
On the way home we made an impromptu visit to Colmar in France - A beautiful city, we must return!

Thank you so much to our unflappable Keith for driving us all around, to Percy the coach for a comfortable journey, and to amazing customers who have made new friendships with lots of tales to tell.

I think this could be the first of many overseas Rural Concierge holidays by coach.

Yesterday turned out nice again as we enjoyed a wonderful day out at WWT Slimbridge, with the added bonus tour of Sir Peter Scott's home.

A big THANK YOU to the wonderful volunteers Peter and Steve who provided a very informative tour (3 x tour, due to our group size).

Many requested another visit in the winter, so we will add it to our next newsletter.

The Herefordshire Federation of Women's Institutes enjoyed their National Conference at the Royal Albert Hall in London yesterday.

We spent 2 days in London this week, visiting Portobello Market, Holland Park Gardens, and the Design Museum with the conference on the 2nd day.

With the recent announcement of a new Christmas episode of Gavin and Stacey, what better time to visit the filming locations at Barry Island as well as enjoy a bit of candy floss, fish and chips, ice cream and amusement arcades!

That aside, the beach is lovely and their RNLI is a visitor centre as well as a shop, is well worth a visit.
