Here we go again 2024. Looking forward to a busy summer here at Longwood Cottage. New comfy lounge furniture, lots of decorating and all carpets cleaned. We are sparkling !

I cant believe how beautiful Long Wood is this year. Probably because of all the rain. There have been so many violets and then primroses. Now we have the cowslips opening with anemones and bluebells shortly behind. There are other beautiful wildflowers that I dont know the name of. Sadly no availability at the moment - but how about next year ? By the way, we do have a week available in June.

PRICES 2023
But first of all some lovely pictures taken in Long Wood this week. This is a lovely time of year to visit, even tho the weather is unpredictable.
But thinking of 2023. Well, who knows what prices are going to do. But there is no point in charging so much that no-one wants to visit. So I have added £25 to the summer dates, and £50 for early and late season bookings to cover the energy costs. I hope this is ok for all of us. Bookings are now coming in for 2023 so please get in touch. No need for a deposit until January.

At last signs of spring. Lovely walk in Long Wood this morning. Lots of deer running about and I even saw a hare the other day. Looking forward to meeting lots of lovely people this year - still some availability here and there.

BOOKINGS ARE ROLLING IN FOR 2022 but we still have availability for short stays in March and early April. Our prices for this year are 3 nights £270 and 4 nights £320. Have a look at our website www.longwoodcottage.com for further information.
Most local attractions seem to be planning a normal diary for 2022 although some pubs and restaurants are only opening from Wednesday onwards at the moment.
