Appeal for witnesses and information.

At 3.20pm yesterday (25/11/2020) along the A577 at Maxilead Metals, a group of young people in blue school uniform deliberately threw large stones or bricks at an Olympia Coach as it was transporting school children home.

Thankfully, nobody was injured but as you can imagine the passengers and the driver of the coach are extremely shaken by yesterday's events.

Luckily all our coaches are fitted with double glazed safety glass, however if this wasn't the case or the objects thrown had missed and hit another passing vehicle / pedestrian we could have a much more sinister issue on our hands.

Finally, in a year that has been so difficult on the travel industry, the damage caused to the coach is likely to have severe financial implications on our business.

We are therefore asking for any information or witnesses to this event to come forward. Dash cam footage, business CCTV or any eye witnesses could be helpful in identifying the culprits.
