Juvenile gannets were out in force yesterday what a beautiful sight watching them fish..

The juvenile gannets has only been on the wing since roughly the start of September, they are now learning to dive up to 15 meters at speeds of up to 60mph.

even though there isn’t many seals at blakeney point, due to the change over of season it makes up for a lovely harbour tour with lovely wildlife to see along the way.

Drumroll, please, for the first melanistic seal pup of the season!

Grey seals of born with white and then shed their fur to expose a grey coat. But about one in every 400 are born with a velvety black coat and these are known as melanistic seals. Melanism is the increased development of the dark-coloured pigment melanin.
