Climbing a Million Steps: Postman Mr. R.F. Rees at South Stack January 1938. Mail deliveries to the lighthouse keepers could only be made by descending the 365 steps and crossing a suspension bridge . Mr. Rees estimated he had walked down and up more than 1.5 million steps in the six years of his deliveries there.
