Visit Horsham Online promotion of the historic market town of Horsham since 2006. This ‘Horsham’ page was created by Visit Horsham in September 2008.

Visit Horsham was created in 2006 by merging former business members of the Horsham Traders’ Guild and The Horsham Forum. We are independent of, but have a good relationship with, Horsham District Council. The aim of this page, as was the aim of the Horsham Forum’s before it, is simply to help connect Horsham people, groups and businesses - as well as promoting the historic market town of Horsham. A couple of years ago, to great consternation, this wall collapsed.

It was a long time before rebuilding began: first some trees needed to be felled and a retaining wall built.

Then began the painstaking process of rebuilding, using the original stones.

The finished wall is beautiful and worth waiting for.

Happy 80th Birthday to Jones and Tomlin

Did you know their Horsham store is one of the country's largest independent Town-Centre & Urban Bed Showrooms?

Founded in Worthing in 1946, they opened the Horsham Bedding Centre in 1993.

Last year they rebranded to align with their Horsham and Chichester stores, but they remain the same independent family business, selling premium beds, mattresses and bedding.

Here's to the next 80 years!

Thanks to The Bok Shop for the photo. We think they were surprised to see it this early, but as they pointed out, last year it didn't come down until Easter! 🤣

Huge congratulations to Horsham Tandoori, which has been named Sussex Takeaway of the Year.

Horsham Tandoori has been family-owned since 2012. Its chef has more than 20 years' experience cooking for Horsham, and the team buy their own ingredients, hand-picking fresh vegetables at market.

They have also been an active Visit Horsham member at the heart of our community for all that time, and our family are regular customers.

The Christ's Hospital uniform is one of the oldest school uniforms in the world and has remained virtual unchanged for over 470 years.

When we started this page we used to regularly see pupils in uniform wandering around the town centre.

Nowadays it's a much rarer sight like this photo from 7 years ago today
