Roxtons are delighted to hear that our auction lot supporting the GWCT West of Scotland Dinner & Auction in March helped them to raise over £141,000 for the charity

Roxtons Director of Shooting John Duncan was in attendance on the evening and is looking forward to hosting the winning bidder, whose auction lot includes a 250 bird driven partridge day at Newlands Estate

All the money raised in Scotland will stay in Scotland and will enable the GWCT to continue with its valuable research, which helps to enhance and protect the countryside

📰 How a 50p levy raised nearly £58,000 for British game

It appears on shoot invoices as a modest 50p per bird, but across a season and hundreds of shooting days, that sum accumulates into something rather more consequential.

Last season, Roxtons and sister company Ian Coley Sporting turned their levy into £57,900 for the Eat Wild campaign – £3,900 more than the year before.

We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity to enjoy a day’s shooting at one of the UK’s finest partridge shoots, while also supporting a highly worthwhile cause:

Prescombe estate are generously offering a 400 bird partridge day on their Wiltshire estate, with all funds going directly to The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust.

Available dates:

10th, 15th, 16th or 22nd September 2026

The day is open to best offers, with a closing date of 1st May 2026.

➡️Please note: as this is a charitable donation, no VAT is payable. Bids are invited in excess of £24,000.

We were delighted to welcome Leon Challis-Davies to our offices in Hungerford to randomly select the lucky winner of our prize draw to win a 200-bird day at the prestigious Badminton estate in Gloucestershire
