How is it April already?!

I’ve had a great month booking some really interesting and diverse trips for repeat clients, new clients and I’ve had a lot of referrals this month. I’m so grateful for every single enquiry and booking and want to say a massive thank you for sharing my details with your friends and family.

Some of my March bookings:

✨New Way to Pay ✨

A lot of my clients are very busy so I'm thrilled My TC now accepts Apple Pay as a method of payment 🍎

The question I get asked the most...'do you take AMEX?' YES! Yes we do.

The best way to view your enquiries, bookings and balances is via the My TC app.

Eekkk I woke up to the news my clients BA flight to Dubai this lunchtime had been cancelled. The airline has an obligation to still get them there and automatically re-booked them onto the next available flight which was Sunday evening into Abu Dhabi. This flight would mean them missing an entire day of their holiday and a longer transfer the other end.

Within 45 mins, myself and the wonderful Tom 24/7 Duty Office had them rebooked onto an Emirates flight departing this lunchtime for Dubai. Emirates are more expensive than BA but we’ve covered the cost of the additional flight price for them in this situation.

They’re all checked in and will head to the lounge shortly.

I just had enough time to make a cuppa before my girls woke up 😅

Can you think what the situation would have been like had they not have booked with me? They’d have spent their entire morning on the phone to BA, they’d have had to pay potentially thousands more today for a more suitable flight and wait days / months for a refund from the airline.

When these clients approached me last year to book their trip, they knew about Travel Counsellors and the benefits of using me. That decision paid off this morning.

I woke up this morning to an update from our Duty Office team informing me about the closure of Heathrow airport, along with a list of my impacted passengers.

I was able to WhatsApp my clients before they woke up to reassure them that everything would be taken care of for them and they could go about their day as usual.

Travel Counsellors shine in crisis situations and everyone came together to minimise the impact on our clients. Along with our 24/7 duty office, colleagues that didn’t have anyone travelling, offered to help those that did. It’s all hands on deck.

The day was spent re-routing and re-scheduling passengers, keeping them updated so they didn’t need to worry. None of my clients have spent any time on hold to airlines / hotels or transfer companies. I have done all the leg work for them.

I may not always be the cheapest but no booking platform or comparison site will go to the lengths we have today to look after our clients.

Inevitably there will be delays over the next few days but my clients are still really looking forward to their trip and will make the most of the airport lounge during any delays
