We regret to inform you that sadly on the evening of Thursday the 18th of September Roy Filer passed away.
He passed peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones.
From the company’s start over 56 years ago he has been at the forefront of it all.
Not only was he the founder of Filers Travel, but he was a Husband, Father, Brother, Grandad, Uncle and friend to many. And the best one at that.
He will be greatly missed by the family and the surrounding community in the transport sector and our local community.
We would love to hear your story’s of Roy from the years as a family.

Sadly the day no one wanted to ever arrive has, Filers have had to close the doors due to financial struggle. We have tried our absolute hardest to stay open and keep serving the community.
Roy Filer and Joe Filer would like to thank everyone who has supported the company from its early days when it was a taxi firm up to today running the coaches.
We are heartbroken to have to do this after 55 plus years of serving Ilfracombe and North Devon.
Everyone at the team of Filers would like to thank you for choosing Filers over the years.

A great evening had in our local carnival 💃🏻🪅🎊🎉

We had loud music, lots of balloons and glow sticks to hand out to the crowd! We hope everyone in attendance enjoyed it as much as we did! It was great to roll back the years to when we used to do this yearly, and we will definitely be back again next year!
