An interesting attempt at mapping North Britain, (Scotland). This was produced on the (erroneous) coordinates from Claudius Ptolmey circa 2nd Century. One theory for the almost right angled tilt is that there was a general belief that life could not be sustained North of 60 degrees, but given that the coordinates provide to map Denmark has a similar tilt, it would suggest there was an issue with accurately recording Coordinates in the area.
