Enjoy the experience of a Highland country house holiday in a traditional Victorian lodge, located in its own large gardens and fully equipped for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Play croquet on the lawn or arrange a private whisky tasting in The Tipsy Laird, your personal garden bar. And when you feel like it, stroll along the river bank into the old town and explore the bars and restaurants of the Highland Capital. A ten minute walk along the banks of the River Ness takes you under the towers of Inverness Castle to the old town and the High Street. A country retreat? Have the best of both worlds. It’s your stay, your way. A country house lifestyle
Relax, unwind and enjoy the chance to spend time together. The formal drawing room is big enough for everyone to come together and talk over the events of the day round the wood fire, or to enjoy a formal dinner at the 10-seater table overlooking the garden. The kitchen diner is an informal space to gather and plan the day ahead, and leads out to The Tipsy Laird, your private garden bar. With a 6 burner range cooker and breakfast bar, the kitchen has plenty of space to prepare and serve dinner for 10, or to put together afternoon tea to enjoy on the lawn. The Tipsy Laird is our secret entertaining space, a private bar with wood burning stove, outside seating and a hot tub. Chill out under the fairy lights as dusk falls, or take dinner outside on the long summer evenings. If you fancy a quiet moment the garden offers plenty of chances to find a calm corner, or curl up in the snug with a book, a film or a game. Cool for kids, and great for grown-ups. A good night’s sleep
Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor for easier access. The Cook’s Room has a free-standing slipper bath in its en suite as well as a shower, andis quietly tooked away behind the kitchen. The Laird’s Room is suitable for wheelchair users, with a full en suite wet room. All the public areas are directly accessible from this room. On the first floor the three double rooms all have king-size beds. The family room can be made up as a king-size bed or twin beds, with an additional single bed and room for a cot. The two single rooms , like all the rooms, have en suite shower rooms with WC and wash basin, shower and lots of fluffy towels and toiletries.

Another visit from some of the Residents (and a daughter) from the nearby Retirement Development. Some of the ladies were horrified by my flower arranging skills and took over - I was very happy for them to do so!
