The last stop of the day for my last tour of the 2025 Season, sadly slightly premature due to my health.

If you do not already know on July 2nd I was diagnosed with prostate cancer which was a bit of a shock to say the least. I will be heading to hospital in Glasgow this Saturday 30th for a Prostatectomy to remove my prostate. The recovery time will take a while and whilst I'm recovering from my operation I have entrusted my friends and amazing driver guides Gavin and Malcolm to cover all of my tours for September and October which I am so grateful for, this will take us up until the end of the season. Anyone that would like to book a tour with us can still do so and as long as we have availability we will still be able to take you on tour during September and October. If you do email us over the next week please bear with me for a reply as I will be in Hospital until at least September 1st.

I shall see you all next season for anyone who has booked tours for 2026.

Some of you may remember back in November 2023 I posted an engagement that happened on my tour. I took Sam and Rachel from Seattle, USA for a hike up The Old Man of Storr on the Isle of Skye, when we arrived at the viewpoint Sam popped the surprise big question. A few days ago on August 16th 2025 the big day arrived. It was so lovely to hear from them both so I asked them to send me photos so that I could post them up here, Here are a few shots they sent me today of their big day. It was special to be a part of this journey with them from taking the surprise engagement photos to seeing them get married. A huge congratulations to Sam and Rachel on their wedding day, may you have a beautiful happy life together. Wishing you all the luck and love from Ryan and us at Sgùrr Tours. ❤️ Congratulations!

I had the best two days touring with these two lovely ladies, it was such a pleasure having them on board, the weather for Skye was just stunning, not so much for our local tour however a great time had despite the weather. What an unbelievable 5 days so far with a returning client for the third time and twice this year. We have been all over. Portmahomack, Dunrobin Castle, Glen Affric, Plodda Falls, part of the NC500 up to Scourie, Lairg, Kylesku, Clashnessie, Ullapool, Gairloch, Kinlochewe and Torridon Hotel tonight then day 6 of 6 tomorrow over to Shieldaig, Applecross, Lochcarron and back to Inverness for a few days of well earned rest after 8 days on the road before we start again for another very busy few weeks. We had the pleasure of Maxine and Brian and their two kids 6 and 10 from Pennsylvania on a 2 day tour, visiting some beautiful places not many tourists go to and it was a cracking few days, it was a pleasure to have them on board for the 2 days. They also opted for our professional photography service over the 2 days and we managed to get some cracking shots of them all in these beautiful places, Memories they can take home with them, they also have an option to send images to a professional Printers we have teamed up with in Minnesota and have them delivered directly to their door within the US. It was great to eventually get to the battle of Culloden gathering today, I have always been working on this day in the past. Marking 100 years since the very first gathering took place, the same year my grandad was born who turned 100 years old a few weeks back. A huge turn out of people from all over.
