We are thrilled to welcome the legend that is Paul Main to this weeks A Blether With.

Paul has been a main man in bringing Ardnahoe Distillery to life, since it's inaugural release in 2024, things keep going from strength to strength.

Of course, Ardnahoe is owned by Hunter Laing, a phenomenal Independent Bottlers with a range of exceptional single malts, including one of Mike's picks at the recent Indy Spirits Festival, a 23 year old Pittyvaich.

We'll be talking all things whisky, including Pauls story, and what he may be doing if whisky wasn't a thing....can you imagine???

We met the Master of Barley, Rudy Delattre at our Spring Highland Whisky Academy, and love some of the photos he's put up!

From Grain to Glass!

Over the first two days we learned so much about Barley and Malt production, it seemed only right that the end product was tried and tested.

Glen Garioch gave us a wonderful dissection of the evolution of their new make spirit, with fine tuning in the spirit cut, yeast strain and fermentation times, it's incredible to taste the massive difference this makes to the spirit before the casks get involved.

However when the casks do get involved, as we discover at GlenGlassaugh, they really do get active - especially after 40 years or so.

We were thoroughly treated to 132 years of whisky in three glasses. A real taste sensation in the boardroom where stories were shared and the whiskies compared and enjoyed.
