Yesterday saw this BMW X1 in for a DCT gearbox service, in this vehicle the clutches run in oil inside the gearbox meaning fluid changes are essential as you can see from the colour difference between the new one old fluid
Fluid replaced with genuine fluid, gearbox parameters reset and clutch bite points relearnt, a quick update to the vehicles online repair history and this vehicle will see many more miles of happy motoring

Needle in a haystack?
Your average modern car has over 2 miles of wiring, when this lovely Peugeot 2008 GT EV arrived with us last week with multiple warning lights on the dashboard the customer was concerned
Using a methodical approach we established a common link between the faults - an issue with one of the ABS sensors, some further testing confirmed as suspected a wiring issue, we quickly narrowed down the area and found a small section had been chaffing and caused corrosion on the wiring - offending wiring repaired and the wiring loom modified to prevent this fault occurring again and this car should see many more happy miles!

Ecoboost Cambelts - something that fills many with fear!
The internets filled with horror stories of premature belt failure and wear!
This week we replaced the belt on this Focus, one we’ve looked after many years, after having the oil changed on time every year and with the correct grade of good quality oil always used we were pleased to see minimal wear on this belt, nothing unusual for 10 years and 80,000 miles!

High voltage battery removed, fault traced to defective battery control modules with assistance from HEVRA, battery repair organised, refitted and vehicle back on the road functioning perfectly!

Ad-Blue - one of those faults that strikes fear into many garages!
We had a Vauxhall Combo in recently with an imminent non start warning, this is a legal requirement of the adblue system, following our initial assessment we were happy the adblue pump was at fault, unfortunately currently only available as part of a very expensive tank! New tank fitted and coded to the vehicle and once again the system appears to be operational, as always a thorough road test to confirm perfect system operation
