Good morning everyone!

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Well at least it’s not raining….yet 😳

I’ll be popping along to the fabulous Ironbridge antiques arts & crafts 01952 433124 today as there’s something very lovely waiting for collection there for the cottage. I’ll show you soon. I know you’ll love her too.

Well after almost 7 weeks we got to stay at the Cottage ourselves the weekend and I can’t tell you how lovely it was to kick back and relax.

But, it wasn’t long before we had to get the cottage ready for her next guests who are enjoying Ironbridge this week…such a shame about the weather but luckily there’s so much to do and a bank of logs for the fire so I’m sure they’ll be just fine.

My favourite bit is collecting flowers from the garden to pop in vintage glass and bud vases to welcome guests. These hellebores are just amazing and we’re lucky to have a boarder bursting with them.

Don’t you just love nature……

How beautiful is this weather!

We’ve been working on the garden the weekend and it continues tomorrow…fingers crossed. We’re cutting back and tidying up and I have to keep checking last summers photos to remember what we have lying in wait for the full blown spring and summer.

All the hard work will definitely be worth it. A true English Cottage Garden. I can’t wait to sit back, relax and enjoy the view.

Easter has been booked so that means the first availability now is 20th April.

Busy weekend here at the Cottage.

We’ve called in the big boys to give us a hand on our high terrace area. It’s a great spot. The views are lovely and yet it’s tucked away and I feel like I’m in a tree house spying on the view instead of people.

It had, once been quite lovely. You can tell but then over the years it become a little bit lost and a place to put things for another day. Well today was just that, another day.

We started at 8.30am sharp. They removed the huge rotting tree stump, we cleared the area, retained everything hoping to make good use of everything. Sadly despite our best endeavours…no treasure was found!

Gone are the huge old cement slabs, broken pots and bits of random guttering. The little bothy is getting lots of attention too. She’s going to be so cute again. All original, just a little less weathered shall we say.

We’re hoping it’ll take a few weeks and then we’ll be able to show you it all finished. Our guests will then have another area they can sit with a nice glass of wine or a quiet cuppa, watching the world and the weather go by.

I honestly can’t wait to show you more….

We’re really quite chuffed, to say the least, that our old girl Beau View Cottage has hosted her very first honeymoon for a lovely young couple.

So happy that they had a wonderful stay and picked up on all the things we love about her too.

Our two most recent reviews…..

We’re excited to stay ourselves this weekend before we start on a full 8 weeks of bookings. I really will miss spending time there just re-charging our batteries and taking in the view, chilly walks, open fires, local independents, pub lunches and warm coffee shops.
