Always an adventure stepping in to a new island, well more of a jump between dingy and slippy rocks. A trip out to the Treshnish islands and Bac Mor and Bac Beag. With Alternative Boat Hire and National Trust for Scotland to install sound monitoring to listen for the elusive corncrake. More signs of human activity on the islands than I expected. Always an adventure stepping in to a new island, well more of a jump between dingy and slippy rocks. A trip out to the Treshnish islands and Bac Mor and Bac Beag. With Alternative Boat Hire and National Trust for Scotland to install sound monitoring to listen for the elusive corncrake. More signs of human activity on the islands than I expected.

Some time off island and covering some new ground. There’s not much of the west of Scotland not worth a visit. Mountain time and and not another person for miles. All still within sight of the mountains of Mull. Just get out there and explore! Haunted bothy anyone ?
