Well, what a fantastic weekend at Ferry Meadows for the Golf Rally!

So much fun was had by everyone, and the weather certainly helped! ☀️

Some arrived on Thursday afternoon, but most joined us on Friday. As a special extra treat, we discovered that an event called Foodie Friday was taking place in the Ferry Meadows park area, featuring great food and live music. I can safely say the Caribbean jerk chicken was absolutely delicious! 😋 The event had a wonderful atmosphere, and it was great to see so many people there enjoying themselves.

On Saturday morning, those who had signed up for golf headed over to Orton Meadows Golf Course, but not before tucking into some delicious bacon rolls.

A huge thank you to Robin Lambe for being our Starter. You were an invaluable member of the team and did a fantastic job walking with and guiding Jack, our newest young golfer. I'm sure you passed on a wealth of advice and experience, and hopefully Jack will continue with the game and go far.

Special congratulations go to our best individual player, Bob Suswain, who achieved a phenomenal score. Very well done, Bob, and thank you for taking part!

Congratulations also to Den Day for winning the Longest Drive competition—well deserved.

After the golf, we enjoyed a lovely cream tea with scones, jam, and thick cream, along with plenty of tea and coffee.
It was so lovely to see Anne and Mark Triggs, after Marks Knee Operation 3 weeks ago, he's recovering well and looking forward to getting back out rallying very soon.

Finally, a huge thank you to Tracy and Lee, Helen and Matthew, and Bella and Jack. You all put on a fantastic weekend, and we are so grateful for everything you did.

Thank you all very much—we're already looking forward to the next one! 😊

Wow what a weekend that was … Simply the Best! Fantastic Time was had by all!
Special thanks go out to a phenomenal team of people
We’re very proud of our Mid-Anglia members John and Jasmine, John and Carole, Alwyn and Hilary and Chris and Felicity who were involved in the build up and running of the event.
Special Thanks to John and Barbara, Bob and Hazel who were part of the campsite crew who sited vans and welcomed rallier’s to the rally.

North Essex Members Greg and Tina Potter who also head the events committee and Barry and Debbie Bridges also from North Essex, Martin and Bronya Findlay from Beds who were also part of the events team. Will and Penny Thursby and Sue Maran from South Essex and Kevin and Dawn Lawrie from North Essex as campsite crew. And it was lovely to see and catch up with Bev and Alan Walker, the South Essex chairman.
With over 400 volunteers I’m sure I’ve have missed some of these wonderful people from our division. You are all Unquestionably Amazing Human beings and on behalf of The Mid Anglia Chairman and all the Mid Anglia Committee Members, Thank you from the bottom of our Hearts
