🎳 What a Fantastic Rolling Stones Weekend! 🎳

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made the weekend such a success. It was wonderful to see so many members enjoying great company, plenty of laughs, and some brilliant curling! 😊

🎤 Friday evening got us off to a fantastic start with the fabulous Manda Low, who had everyone singing along and dancing the night away. A special thank you to Tydd St Giles Community Hall for all your help throughout the weekend and for kindly providing such excellent entertainment.

🥌 Congratulations to everyone who took part in the curling competition. After some closely fought matches, the final saw Matthew Nellist & Barbara Rutter take on David Brown & Jean Day. Congratulations to David & Jean, who were crowned this year's Rolling Stones Champions! 🏆👏

👏 Finally, a massive thank you to our fantastic Marshal, Lee and Tracy Allgood, together with Co-Marshals Mark & Anne Triggs. Your hard work, organisation and dedication behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. We are so grateful for all the time and effort you put into making the weekend such a success. ❤️

Thank you once again to everyone who attended, supported the event and helped make it another memorable Rolling Stones weekend. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 🚐🎉🥌

📍 Jeagor Farm Lakes, Eriswell Road, Bury St Edmunds

Whether you're an avid angler or simply looking for a quiet getaway, this rally has something for everyone.

🎣 Saturday Fishing Match – bring your rods and join in the fun! Fishing is also available throughout the week (please contact the Marshals to arrange). All anglers must hold a current rod licence.

🚐 Rally Details
✅ Maximum 15 vans
✅ Part-week and weekend bookings welcome
✅ Rally opens 12 noon Wednesday and closes 2.00pm the following Wednesday

🧭 Directions: From the A1101 at Mildenhall, follow signs towards Holywell Row and Eriswell. The site is on the left after approximately half a mile – just follow the rally signs! (Please take extra care if approaching from Littleport as the road is quite uneven.)

🧀🍷 Chairman's Cheese & Wine Rally – What a Cracking Weekend! 🚐⚽❤️
What an absolutely fantastic weekend we had at Fowlmere Village Hall! From learning lifesaving skills to enjoying delicious cheese and wine, celebrating special anniversaries, and cheering on England together – this rally really had something for everyone.

One of the highlights of the weekend was our CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Training, delivered by the wonderful team from East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Thank you to Olga and the team for two brilliant, engaging sessions that gave so many members the confidence to use our Centre's defibrillator if ever needed. Hopefully it's knowledge we'll never have to use, but it's reassuring to know our members are now better prepared. ❤️
Saturday evening was all about good company, great conversation and... cheese and wine! 🧀🍷
In true Chairman's style, every cheese and wine had been carefully matched to the four remaining World Cup teams:

🇪🇸 Spain
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England
🇫🇷 France
Who knew England produces such a lovely sparkling white wine? 🍾😉
As if that wasn't enough, the evening had one final surprise... 📽️⚽ At 10pm the big screen was fired up and we all gathered to watch England defeat France 6-4 winning a World Cup Third-Place playoff. What a brilliant way to round off the evening! 🦁🦁🦁
Finally, a massive thank you goes to our amazing Marshals Lee & Tracy, whose attention to detail made the whole weekend run so smoothly. Special thanks also to Co-Marshals Scott & Nicole, along with Finley and William, for all your help and support throughout the weekend. 👏
Weekends like this remind us what the Mid Anglia Centre is all about – great friends, plenty of laughter, learning something new, and making memories together.

🍻☀️ What a fantastic 3-night weekend away at the Gorefield Beer Festival! ☀️🍻

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Marshals, Anne & Mark Triggs 👏💚. I know you'll both say, "We didn't really do anything!"… but by organising the rally, you gave us all the perfect excuse to get out, relax, and enjoy a wonderful weekend together. That's what it's all about! 🏕️😊

It was brilliant to welcome new members Gareth & Varina Howell on their very first rally – we hope it's the first of many! 🎉🚐

And I couldn't possibly forget the very dapper Douglas Bear 🧸😎. He's got his own page, so if you haven't already, go and give him a follow to keep up with all his bear adventures! 🐾📸

A warm welcome back to Paul & Carol Pearmen 👋. It was lovely to see you both back out rallying again, even if the weather was a little... 🔥🥵☀️!

⚽📽️ As an extra special treat, our Chairman worked his magic by rigging up a projector so we could all watch the England quarter-final together. What a fantastic atmosphere it created... and even better, we got to cheer England on to a brilliant victory! 🏆🦁🦁🦁🎉

Finally, a massive congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in making the Gorefield Beer Festival another outstanding success! 🍺🍻
Fantastic beers and ciders 🍺, brilliant live entertainment 🎶, delicious food stalls 🍔🌮, and an amazing atmosphere ❤️... the list goes on!

We've already booked our rally area for next year... and we can't wait to do it all again! 🎉🚐🍻

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the peaceful passing of our member, Julia Smith, last week.

Her family shared this news and the following details with us so that we could let everyone know.

​For those who would like to attend and pay their respects, a service to celebrate Julia's life will be held on Thursday 23rd July at 10:30 am
at :
​Cam Valley Crematorium
Field Farm Dr, Great Chesterford,
Saffron Walden, CB10 1FE

​All are very welcome to attend. The family is also planning a wake afterward in Bassingbourn and will share those details once they are finalized.

​They are using Barbara’s Flowers of Royston for the arrangements. If you have any fond memories or photos of Julia that you would like to share, please feel free to post them.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Julia's family at this incredibly sad time.
