Marra

One of our favourite spots in Kendal 🤍

Marra has that perfect cosy feel — a warm, welcoming space where everything just slows down a little. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is truly exquisite, and you can tell everything is made with real care.

Whether it’s coffee, sourdough pizza, or something simple done beautifully, it’s the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to.

No car? No problem 🚆

Appleby 24 is perfectly placed for a car-free escape.

Kendal railway station is just a 2-minute walk away and Kendal Bus Station is only 10 minutes on foot — making it easy to arrive, explore and unwind without driving.

With bus fares capped at £3, the iconic Stagecoach 555 takes you from Kendal to Keswick — and through some of the Lake District’s most breathtaking scenery along the way. It’s even been voted one of the most scenic bus routes in the UK.

Just remember to check timetables, as services can vary between summer and winter months.

Even winter feels magical in the Lake District 🤍

There’s something about the stillness of Lake District in winter — the soft grey skies, the quiet water, the mist resting gently over the fells.

This was Lake Windermere on a peaceful morning walk. No crowds. No noise. Just calm water and deep peace I always find here.
