The new bus stop at The QEH will be open from Tuesday 26 May. The new stop is located closer to the main road at the top end of the site, opposite the Community Diagnostic Centre.

From this date all buses will use the new stop and the old one will no longer be in use. Our patient buggy also has a new stop next to the relocated bus stop to support patients who need it.

The new bus stop will operate as a one-way system for buses, and there is a no access area for other vehicles.

The loop is your long-awaited brand-new bus service creating several new journey options around King’s Lynn, without the need to go to town and change bus!

We launch on the 1st June with buses running approximately every 2 hours Mondays to Fridays initially. We’re hoping to increase the frequency in the near future, so please be sure to spread the word and try it out!

You can view the times and route map on our website athttps://images-lynxbus.passenger-website.com/downloads/44%20The%20Loop_0.pdf

Buses operate from King’s Lynn Transport Interchange (Stand E) and operate a loop to Hardwick Retail and Industrial Estate serving the following key locations on the way; St Nicholas Retail Park, Edward Benefer Way (for North Lynn Ind Estate), St James Medical Practice, South Wootton, Knights Hill and the Q.E Hospital.

Single fares on the entire route are just £1.50 thanks to the King’s Lynn fare cap and those with concession passes travel free after 0930hrs.

From Monday 1st June we’re making some changes to some of existing routes as well as introducing some exciting new services, mainly following feedback from our customers and staff.

You can preview the new PDF version of the timetables at https://www.lynxbus.co.uk/service-changes-1st-june-2026

- Service 33 (King's Lynn | QE Hospital | Hillington | Docking | Sedgeford | Hunstanton)

Improved frequency with buses now operating every 2 hours Mondays to Saturdays.

- NEW! Service 33A (Hunstanton town circular)

New Hunstanton town service route will operate every 2 hours Mondays to Saturdays. This new service will operate an anti-clockwise circular route serving key locations such as Tesco, Lavender Chase, Medical Practice, Yarrow Drove, Cliff Parade & Hunstanton Travel Hub.

- NEW! Service 33B (Hunstanton | Ringstead | Old Hunstanton circular)

New Ringstead village route will operate every 120 minutes Mondays to Saturdays. This new service will operate an anti-clockwise circular route serving Tesco, Oasis Way, Ringstead, Old Hunstanton, Cliff Parade & Hunstanton Travel Hub.

- Services 34/35/36 (King's Lynn | QE Hospital or South Wootton | Dersingham | Snettisham | Heacham | Hunstanton)

New early morning journeys from Hunstanton and King’s Lynn (both at 0610hrs) and other peak time changes from King’s Lynn and Hunstanton.

The existing 36 0720hrs journey from Hunstanton is now a 34 (via Q.E Hospital).

The 0735hrs service 35 (College days only) has been replaced by a 0735hrs 36 operating Mondays to Saturdays throughout the year.
The 0750hrs 34 from Hunstanton now calls into the Q.E Hospital grounds.

- Coastliner 36 (King's Lynn | Hunstanton | Burnham Market | Wells-next-the-Sea | Fakenham)

Revised routing of buses in Wells-next-the-Sea now means that the majority of buses no longer serve The Buttlands, with Polka Road (near the Co-Op store being served as an alternative). The nearest alternative bus stops to The Buttlands will be at Northfield Lane or The Quay.

The decision to no longer serve The Buttlands has not been taken lightly but the revised road layout at this location, with no consultation undertaken, is causing delays to services, even at the quieter time of the year. These delays will obviously be greater in the summer months.

School time journeys to and from Alderman Peel High School will still serve Burnt Street.

- NEW! Service 44 'the loop' (King's Lynn | South Wootton | Knights Hill | QE Hospital | Hardwick)

A new service enabling customers from The Woottons and the new Castle Reach development to access the Q.E Hospital and Hardwick Retail Park.

This service will operate the following loop; King’s Lynn Transport Interchange, Edward Benefer Way (passing North Lynn, North Lynn Industrial Estate, Wootton Grange development, St James Medical Practice), South Wootton, Castle Reach development, Knight’s Hill Hotel, Q.E Hospital and Hardwick Retail Park.

Initially this route will operate up to every 2 hours but we hope to improve this if demand grows.

- Service 49 (King's Lynn | QE Hospital | Fakenham)

The 0810hrs journey from King’s Lynn to the Q.E Hospital has been withdrawn. This has been replaced by a new 0805hrs service 34 journey to Hunstanton (via the Q.E Hospital).

It's that time of the week again in Fakenham....1000hrs Coastliner 36 to Wells and Hunstanton as well as our 1000hrs 49A to King's Lynn will be subject to delays whilst we wait for the owner of this inconsiderately parked car to return.

Please accept our apologies for the delay to your journey (again!).

🚌 West Norfolk independent operator Lynx bus recently added three 11.8m Alexander Dennis to its fleet, all fitted with capable six-cylinder engines that achieve low-emission bus status with our SmartPack efficiency technology.

Two of them are dedicated to King’s Lynn local service 42, linking the Fairstead Estate and town centre. A revised interior layout provides larger bays offering additional space for buggies and wheelchair users alongside nine tip-up seats, which complement 33 fixed high-back seats throughout the rest of the vehicle.

The third new bus boosts the fleet of routes 34, 35 and Coastliner 36 between King’s Lynn and Hunstanton, which already uses four similar Enviro200 delivered last year. With more passengers making longer journeys on these services, these buses have 37 fixed seats as well as six tip-ups in the wheelchair bay and a separate, smaller buggy bay. A two-tier luggage rack is installed on the front nearside wheelarch to cater for holidaymakers’ baggage.

Lynx Managing Director Julian Patterson said: “We’re delighted to again invest in our fleet with the addition of these latest three Alexander Dennis Enviro200. The ability to adjust their specification to the different requirements of our diverse network of services helps us provide a better journey experience for our passengers. This flexibility is what has allowed us to standardise on Alexander Dennis products with 14 single and double-deckers bought over the last four and a half years.”

Our Regional Sales Manager Martin Dunleavy added: “It’s been a pleasure to support Lynx with another set of new buses for West Norfolk. We’ve taken great pride in tailoring these Enviro200 low-emission buses to requirements, not just providing different layouts but ensuring the entire interior is built to Lynx’s specification including the operator’s bespoke moquette-and-leather seat design. Finished in the striking red Lynx livery, these buses just look fantastic.”
