The Avon estuary from Aveton Gifford to Bantham offers an incredible adventure for kayaking or SUP enthusiasts! 🌊 Aveton Gifford is just over a mile from Clanaborough, making it a perfect starting point. Yesterday, our holiday guests had a fantastic paddle down to the sea with their two children, spotting lots of wildlife (and enjoying some snacks) along the way. 🛶✨

Well there had been much sprucing up happening this last week down here in South Devon! Paint brushes, oils, polishing rags and more and Clanaborough is feeling a little more loved again. We're looking forward to introducing you to Olivia Owl in all her finery on your next visit 🦉🏡🖌️🧼🧹

BANTHAM / BURGH ISLAND

A rare photo from me of Devon. I'm only 15 minutes from the Devon border but my favourite areas around Salcombe in the south and Woolacombe in the north are a lot further away.

On the way back from Cornwall a couple of weekends ago, there was perfect weather on the Sunday so I visited south Devon to photograph this view at Bantham, followed by Hope Cove and then Salcombe.

This wasn't a photo I had planned but when I was checking Google Maps for other possible locations I looked at the shape and direction of the estuary and thought it would make a great view looking out to Burgh Island and I'm glad I gave it a try. It's a beautiful area if you haven't visited.
