🌋 SICILY TRAVEL UPDATE – MOUNT ETNA 🇮🇹

Just a quick heads-up for anyone travelling to Sicily or currently there.

Due to Mount Etna’s eruptive activity, some airspace has been closed and flights arriving into and departing from Catania Airport are currently suspended until 10pm local time.

✈️ If you’re due to travel, please keep a close eye on your flight status directly with your airline before heading to the airport.

For anyone who has booked with me, suppliers will notify us if your specific booking is affected by a delay or cancellation. They will often copy you into important updates too, and I’ll forward anything I receive as soon as it comes through.

🇲🇹 Also worth knowing: when Mount Etna is particularly active, flights to and from Malta can sometimes be affected too, depending on the direction of the wind and volcanic ash.

If you’re travelling to Sicily or Malta, don’t panic — just keep checking your flight status and allow for the possibility of disruption. ❤️

Lapland doesn’t have to cost a fortune ❄️🎅🏼🇫🇮 We did 7 nights in Ruka, Finnish Lapland and still had the full experience — huskies, reindeer, Santa and plenty of snow!
