Toy status: Missing. 🧸🐾

After hours of searching under cushions, behind furniture, and in the house, our four-legged detective managed to find their favourite toy. Where he left it on a recent adventure!

The look of disappointment earlier said it all. 💔

Glad he got it… because nothing tugs at your heart quite like a dog missing their beloved toy. 🐶❤️

Lee jeans.

Did you know that 45 years ago, the Lee factory was set for closure in Greenock? 👖

It’s not as simple as that. The 240 workers (predominantly female) had other ideas…… 💪

What followed was a sit in, protesting against the closure of what was, a largely tax payer funded operation.

And the sit in lasted 7 months 😳.

Fish suppers delivered through skylights, beds constructed of cardboard boxes and coats and the rest.

The sit in was successful resulting in the factory going back to production (you can’t put scots down!). 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

2 years later the holding company went into administration but the lesson remains - dinnae mess wi a lassie fae Greenock. 💪

If you fancy Greenock (and ferry across to Dunoon an option), an hour and a quarter from SC HQ 😊⛴️

first repeat customer! Must be doing something right 🌟

The cracking Blanco and Costa 🇪🇸 hired in April; beaten by the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 weather for their planned trip to Skye.

Back last week and first adventurers in the new van - Arwen. And yes, Skye ticked off ✅

Spent a hectic 😉 day documenting a mountain bike themed route in southern 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The seven trail centres—Glentress, Innerleithen, Newcastleton, Ae, Mabie, Dalbeattie, Kirroughtree and Glentrool—are renowned for their world-class routes, stunning scenery and unique stone sculptures ("stanes") inspired by local myths and legends. 🚴‍♀️⛰️

I picked off Mabie (definitely) and Dalbeattie. Newcastleton tomorrow and a well deserved snooze 😴 in the van tonight incoming….

Mud flying. Tyres locking. Adrenaline. 🚵‍♂️💨

Why on earth have I come out of retirement to race downhill mountain biking again?!

At the Forest of Ae in Dumfries and Galloway for round 2 of the SDA series.

Practice today and race tomorrow.

In between of course, in a van. Perfect base after a tough, physical day 🚐.

Nothing beats the sound of freewheels echoing through the woods! ⛰️🔥
