I have added a couple more dates and updated the availability below.

These are held in the new studio which is now situated at the bottom of the garden behind the old studio on Main Street KM.

We welcome you to share a few hours in our new purpose built studio, it’s a wonderfully creative space full of light and inspiration. Teaching skills, passing on techniques and simply enjoying the art of making together.

You will have full guidance and support throughout your class, bring an idea or not at all as we have so many templates and designs to mix and match to help you create your own unique artwork. Beginners are welcome, if you're more experienced come and join in, we always have something new to share and learn!

In this workshop we will focus on designing and making a block from which to print Christmas / Winter Solstice cards. It will follow a folk art theme, so there will be lots of dala horses, trees, houses, angels and woodland folk ideas and templates available for you to use.

You will be shown the basic skills and techniques of lino-cut relief printmaking, how to mix your own inks and print your own festive cards.

The workshop includes all materials, 20 fine quality recycled card and envelopes, and the knowledge to be able to make more prints at home with your unique cut design.

Additional blank cards and lino are available at a small cost.

At the moment the studio can accommodate up to five people or possibly six friends!

A £10 deposit is required for booking with the balance due on the day.

Wow, what a fantastic vibe Kirby Muxloe had today - Thank you, to each and everyone of you that came and supported the Art and Makers Trail, it was truly beyond expectation. Thank you for queuing and waiting, how can I even be saying this!, and for abiding by the rules that we were set by the local council.....we may now have another one! Hopefully.....

We are having a village Art and Makers trail around Kirby Muxloe tomorrow. Eight houses/front gardens/drives will be open with 18 artists and makers displaying their wares. Our wonderful Clann Gifts on Main Street will also be opening up for the event. You can collect a map at any of the houses or the shop.
Social distancing will be observed and hand sanitizers available.
At 9 Main Street LE9 2AN I will be hosting Helen D Moore with a collection of her beautiful fine art prints. There will also be some Jam tart ceramics and textiles available along with some of my one off pieces of art, ceramics and textiles. We would love to see you tomorrow between 11:00am and 4:00pm. We now have the Snoods at the Studio - Beautiful mohair snoods, made in Kirby Muxloe on a Victorian hand operated knitting machine, ideal Christmas gifts, lovely and warm, £9.95 each, available in red, royal blue, black, brown, jade green, white and light cream. Includes instructions on how to wear as a scarf, cowl or hood. Collection from Kirby at the Studio 10- 4 tomorrow...

We are getting all festive and cosy here at the Studio for tomorrow - We have new stock in.... and we have Bags and bags of wood, Top quality, hard wood...burns for longer, kindling and big netted dried logs... We are open for extended hours from 10am until 5pm. Pick your own just £5.00 a bag suitable for log burners, open fires and we have some lovely bits for crafters, it all seems a shame to burn, .....But it's Brrrrr.....!
