It's been a super hectic March and April so far... how are we almost half way through April already?!!?!

I just wanted to share some feedback I received recently from a very valued repeat client of mine. When a booking has been made I send out a one sentence survey to rate the service that has been received and I am so lucky to get such great feedback.

Happy 13th Anniversary of being a Travel Counsellor to me!!

I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone that has made this possible, running my own little travel business for 13 years is something that I am immensely proud of.

Being self employed is hard, but thanks to the support of family, friends, colleagues and clients, I get to do what I love for a living!

So here's to the next 13 years..

Wow! February already?!?! How did that happen??

I haven't posted in a long time so just wanted to pop on and say a MASSIVE thank you for keeping me soooooo busy throughout December and January!!

It's been a busy time for both booking holidays and preparing those due to travel with lots of travel documents to get ready..... if you haven't booked with me before then I take care of all of your pre-travel preparation including printing and delivering your travel documents, making any requests with hotels and airlines on your behalf, check you in online for your flights so you can get on with enjoying your holiday and advise on any visa applications that you may need to complete.

To everyone who has booked with me over the last few months THANK YOU for trusting me to look after your travel arrangements, your support of my small business is very much appreciated. Because of you I get to continue to do the job that I have always loved... supporting a local business is the most amazing thing that you can do!

If you are still planning your 2025 or 2026 adventures PLEASE, if you're considering booking online, give me the opportunity to look for you, I will always do my best to offer the best value and will look after you until you walk back through the door at the end of your trip.

I don't advertise anywhere, just here on social media, I rely on word of mouth and my lovely clients sharing me with their friends and family. If you know anyone thinking of booking a holiday please feel free to pass on my details, I'd love to be able to help them.

I'm off to Manchester today for our annual conference and I am so excited!!

I will be attending conference sessions and seminars across the entire weekend so if you want to get in touch please feel free but just know that I may not reply straight away.

I'll be updating my page with what we are up to over the weekend, I love sharing what we experience as part of Travel Counsellors as you know from past years 😁

That's it, all packed (well I think we are, will have to ask Andrew 🤣🤣), the dogs have gone to the Grandpawrents for a jolly of their own and Poki the cat is staying home with her friends from next door.... time to head to Manchester!!

The countdown is on… next weekend it’s the event of the year… our annual Travel Counsellor’s conference!

It’s always an amazing event with fabulous entertainment, incredible speakers and the opportunity to meet with so many suppliers who help me create the most wonderful trips for my lovely customers, but the best thing is getting to catch up with some of my favourite people from Head Office and of course my fellow Travel Counsellors.

You know that the Saturday night entertainment is kept under wraps until they literally walk on stage.

We’ve been so lucky to have Gary Barlow (twice), Clean Bandit, Becky Hill to name a few, my guess for this year is Sophie Ellis-Bextor 😁😁… who do you think it will be?

Monday is here again.... How fast do the weeks go!??!?

As it's the start of a new month, I just thought I would pop on with a little reminder about what I do.

Please don't think I am only here for special occasion holidays or complex itineraries. I am here to help you find the perfect trip, whatever it is...

I offer everything from UK to round the World, Cottages to Cruising, Rail to Ranching, Beach breaks to City stays, Sports events to Ski holidays.

I have 27 years experience in travel, nearly 13 years of that in my current role as a self employed Travel Counsellor. I am so lucky to be able to do what I love as my job... and eveyr day is totally different.

If you are thinking of a holiday, some suppliers are already quoting as far as 2026 holidays, please get in touch, I'd love to help. Before you press book on a faceless website PLEASE give me the opportunity to look at it for you... as a small local business I'd very much appreciate the opportunity to be your trusted travel adviser.

Time for me to log off and head to bed....

It's 1.33am and I have been waiting for check in to open for some clients currently on holiday in the USA due to fly home tomorrow. They are at an event and wouldn't have had access to the internet to complete online check in when it opened.

As they hadn't prebooked seats I didn't want to risk leaving the check in until they were able to do it themselves and maybe not get seats together.

So they are able to enjoy their event and have seats together for their long flight home tomorrow..... happy clients, happy Travel Counsellor!

My service is not just a booking service, I'm on hand from enquiry stage until you return home.

How is it October already?!!?! Anyone else feel like this year is flying?? No pun intended!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has used my service so far this year, and in previous years, I am currently on course to have my best year ever as a TC in the almost 13 years that I have been running my own business.

This time of year is by far my favourite, I love everything Halloween (except the really spooky stuff!), Bonfire Night (except Fireworks!), Christmas and New Year.

People often say to me that they assume I get quieter at this time of year, but in truth it seems to ramp up even more with people planning last minute October half term trips, Christmas Markets and the ski season is also on the way...

So whatever you are planning in terms of travel PLEASE, before you press book on a faceless internet site, give me a call or drop me an email to see if I can book it for you and give yourself the peace of mind that you have someone on hand throughtout to look after every aspect of your travels. Supporting local business is really important to me and I try to shop local as often as possible.
