A must see exhibition 👩‍🎨

Kirkcudbright Galleries are delighted to open our latest exhibition: JMK: 150. 🩷

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of ‘Glasgow Girl’ artist Jessie M King. Over her career King disproved the saying ‘jack of all trades, master of none’ by mastering many approaches to art and craft. Her work ranged from book illustrations to batik, jewellery to ceramics. She even designed wallpaper.

This exhibition celebrates the 150th anniversary of her birth with over 100 objects from her various artistic eras. A must-see exhibition. We are currently open Tuesday - Saturdays: 10am - 4pm, and Sundays 11:30-4pm.

The Scottish Illustrator lived at Greengate House and had the cottages in Greengate close for art students, one of the cottages is the lovely Yellow Door. Check out more information on Jessie M King at
