A new month and the start of wedding season at Rottal Steading 💒💍💖

We are looking forward to welcoming all our couples here at Rottal on their special day. Lots of preparations are taking place to get everything ready, including adding these beautiful fairy lights to our Chapel Room ✨

The Chapel Room is just one of the options available for your ceremony. We also have our large Steading space and The Hall as indoor options, or if you are looking to get married outdoors, you can choose to say ‘I do’ on our front lawn or perhaps somewhere else on the grounds of Rottal Estate.

We are delighted to have Scottish author joining us on Saturday 21st June for the launch of her new book ‘Whispers in the Glen’.

Sue’s latest novel is inspired by real events in wartime Glen Clova and it tells the tale of sisterhood, heartbreak and resilience of the Scottish women on the World War II home front.

Sue will be hosting an author reading and Q&A session at Rottal Steading. Everyone is welcome so we hope you can join us.

Tickets are on sale now for our Summer Rottal Ceilidh! 🎶🎻🪗

Join us on Saturday 2nd August for a great family night out at our Summer ceilidh. Local duo will be with us to get everyone up and dancing.

Join us for our very first Food & Drink Festival at Rottal Steading! 🍴🍓🌮☕️🥢

Save the date for Saturday 13th September, when we will be hosting our first dedicated food and drink festival. We will be joined by a great selection of local food and drink producers, highlighting all the amazing produce that the Angus area and beyond has to offer.

❌ Spring Workshops Cancelled ❌

We have taken the decision to cancel our Spring Workshop afternoon, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday 6th April, due to a lack of sufficient interest in each workshop. We are disappointed to have to cancel this event, especially when working with such lovely local businesses.

The lovely astridweigel will be with us on Sunday 6th April hosting a Lampshade Making Workshop. It’s sure to be a fun afternoon and you will get to go home with your own handmade lampshade to enjoy.

We are delighted to have joining us at our Spring Workshops event on the afternoon of Sunday 6th April, here at Rottal Steading.

We will be hosting a selection of creative workshops and Maison Dieu will be with us to provide participants with a delicious hot drink and tasty sweet treat. They will be set up outside our steading and are also open to welcome anyone in the area who wishes to pop in past for a drink or a bite to eat.

🌷S P R I N G W O R K S H O P S 🌼

The third of our Spring Workshops we are hosting at Rottal Steading on Sunday 6th April is a ‘Spring Flowers Workshop’ with local florist Linda from The Flower Pavilion.

Enjoy a fun and relaxed floral workshop with Linda, where you will create your own arrangement in a glass tank vessel with a birch structure, made by attendees, to keep the stems in place (so to negate the use of floral foam). There will be a selection of beautiful Spring blooms to choose from, to reflect the colourful season. No experience needed to take part!

🌷S P R I N G W O R K S H O P S 🌼

Another workshop we will be hosting on Sunday 6th April at Rottal Steading is a ‘Lampshade Making Workshop’ with astridweigel.

Astrid will help guide you through the process of making a 20cm drum lampshade, suitable for either a table or ceiling light. Bring along your own fabric (any woven fabric, not stretch) and create a beautiful lampshade to co-ordinate in your home.
No previous experience is needed so come along or bring a friend for a fun afternoon!
