Visit Knighton Visit Knighton in Powys on the borders of Wales & England , a beautiful market town. The area around Knighton in Powys is excellent walking country.

Knighton is rich in history with half-timbered houses, winding streets known locally as "The Narrows". Knighton is unique in Wales in that two National Trails meet here - Offa's Dyke Path and Glyndwr's Way. Knighton has also been identified as a Cycle Break Centre. Cycle Break Centres are selected because they give holidaymakers access to some of the loveliest day cycling in Wales while staying in welcoming holiday areas.

✨ Join us in welcoming our newest Maker and Trader: Lottie O'Leary

Lottie is a stone carver and letter cutter working from her workshop in the centre of Knucklas.

Lottie works mainly on commissions including individually designed memorials and carved work using British stones and all carved by hand, making the perfect personalised wedding present or anniversary gift.

"I carve my own pieces as well for exhibitions, a few of these can be seen in my workshop. I also run weekend stone carving classes, all ages and abilities welcome"

We have been working on the April classes and have a fantastic line up for you with some very exciting crafts on offer. The dates for these classes are:

Monday 7th April - Trio of silver stacker rings (6.30 - 9.30)
Thursday 10th April - Sewing (machine use) - beginner level 1 (6.30 - 9.30)
Monday 14th April - Sewing (machine use) - beginner level 2 (6.30 - 9.30)
Weds 16th April - Knitting - beginners (6.30 - 9.30)
Thursday 17th April - Silk painting (6.30 - 9.30)
Weds 23rd April - Crochet (beginners and improvers) (6.30 - 9.30)
Thursday 24th April - Calligraphy (6.30 - 9.30)

DAY
Weds 9th April - Crochet (beginners and improvers) (3.00 - 6.00)
Thurs 17th April - Sewing (machine use) level 2 (2.00 to 5.00)

All these classes are individually priced and the specialised classes are, of course, priced accordingly.

All classes include materials needed for the class and light refreshments :)

And a wonderful shop in West Street, Knighton.

We made a dead hedge yesterday! With the help of Maddie who was working with us for a few days this week. We used all the branches that came out of our hedge which was laid a few weeks ago by Anthony, and piled them up between some fence posts. Hedges are amazing for wildlife and we hope our dead hedge will be an extra place for birds and insects to shelter 🐦‍⬛🕷️🦔

Hi everyone, thank you all for the great response to our new venture. We have noted all your requests and will do our best to accommodate them at some point in the future ...

To start with we are going to do BEGINNER LEVEL classes to see how they go ... If the dates or days below do not suit you but you are interested in attending the class then please contact us either on the page or via email as we will see what we can do. We are not limited to a specific day really and we will do our best to accommodate any requests :)

So to kick off, our first batch of classes will be as follows:

Thursday, 27th Feb - Felt Fruit Characters with Jo (beginners level)

Thursday, 6th March - Quilled cards with Helen (beginners level)

Thursday, 13th March - Cake toppers with Jo (beginners level)

Thursday, 20th March - Cross Stitch Cards with Fiona (beginners level)

Thursday, 27th March - Crochet with Jo (beginners level)

Each class will include materials and refreshments (maybe even a free glass of Prosecco :) )

All classes will be 6:30pm to 9:30pm but if you require a different time please let us know. We will accommodate you :)

These classes are aimed at having fun and learning a new skill or just getting together with friends to do an activity, so please do contact us for prices and further information.

We will welcome any suggestions for classes or improvements.
