Highlander reboot rumoured to be filming in Skye as Hollywood star Karen Gillan spotted in Tyndrum.

The Inverness-born actress was photographed at the Green Welly Stop over the weekend, fuelling speculation she's involved in the remake of the '80s cult classic.

Several car parks are closed in north Skye this week as production crews are expected on site. Highland Council said it couldn't give details of the project because of confidentiality, but confirmed which facilities will close.

Kilt Rock / Mealt Falls car park – 15 to 17 April
Quiraing car park – 16 to 17 April
Storr car park – 16 to 17 April
