Not that there's anything wrong with doing the NC500 in the winter.

It's just that the route is in its full glory in the summer months.

From camping to amazing food and drink, stunning beaches and a world of history, heritage and archaeology, the NC500 is a famous scenic road trip route in Scotland, circling the north coast of the Scottish Highlands.

And the Loch Shin Glamping Pods are the perfect base from which to explore.

The full route is roughly 516 miles (830.4 km) long and is best experienced in a week.

But you can pick and choose the bits that interest you the most.

🚨 JULY BOOKING AVAILABILITY!

As usual, the Loch Shin Glamping Pods are extremely busy during the summer holidays this year.

But we currently have some limited availability at the start of July from the 5th to the 14th!

It's a rarity, so if you are thinking of coming to stay with us, please act fast and confirm your booking.

We have even reduced prices that week up to 15% on some of our lodges to make a visit to the beautiful Scottish Highlands even more attractive.

Our pods can take anything from solo travellers to a family of four with young children.

And with a Spring that has bought some lovely weather so far, there is no better place to be in July if that trend continues.

💚 'ATTENTION TO DETAIL' HITS THE SPOT

It's lovely to see some reviews hitting the booking sites since our re-opening in late March.

Especially ones that mention our 'attention to detail'.

It's something that owners John and Anita pride themselves on.

🌞 FUN IN THE SUN

We have got a great week coming up at Loch Shin Glamping Pods.

The forecast is showing sunny spells, a gentle breeze and temperatures around 20 degrees all week long!

We have got some regulars staying with us this week and it's always a pleasure to see them.

And we have guests visiting us for the first time who we know will be having the best of weeks and will get the very best first impressions of our beautiful site with the sun on their faces. 😃

📅 BOOKING FOR SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Bookings are in full flow now for what we all hope will be some sunny months ahead.

We are always extremely busy in the summer holidays so, if you are planning to bring the family for a holiday, can we politely suggest that you get in soon before all the premium dates are sold out.

A reminder that all four of our lovely pods are equipped with a double bed, a double sofa bed and a table with four chairs for dining so, they are built with enough room for four people.

Prices start at £97 per night for 2 people, £107 for 3 people and £117 for four people.

So, that means a full week's holiday in incredibly surrounding could cost a family of four just £819.

As always, our best prices are by booking directly on our website or by giving us a call.

🏖 A BEACH HOLIDAY...IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS?

Beaches are not the first thing that most people think of when they book a holiday at the Loch Shin Glamping Pods.

Rugged scenery, clean air and warm hospitality…certainly.

🦙 ROOM WITH A VIEW 🦙

As much as we would like to take credit for such a great photo, the scenery around the Loch Shin Pods at the moment is making the job of a photographer an easy one!

Here are two of our alpaca tribe just chillin' out and enjoying the scenery in the fields around the pods.

And what a view they have!

📸 PICTURE THIS

As the sun goes down on a lovely, sunny Friday and, with the thermometer due to touch 20 degrees Celcius tomorrow, it's always worth re-posting this picture of the Loch Shin Pods.

Taken on a drone a couple of years ago as daytime turned to dusk, it highlights our four pods, two with balconies and two with a picnic table.

Just over the roof of the bottom pod, you can see where our communal fire-pit resides, the sight of many a good night with a drink and a blanket over our shoulders, sharing stories with our guests.

Beyond that, the wide open fields that surround the Loch Shin Pods, being kissed by the sunshine as it disappears over the horizon for another day.

It's a peaceful and beautiful place - and we never stop feeling lucky to call it our home.

🍔🍟🍕🥙 LOCH SHIN TAKE AWAY? 🧐

If you are thinking about walking down the road from the Loch Shin Pods to pick up a McDonalds one night when you don't want to cook...think again.

You can't have rural charm, space and tranquility if you also want a host of take-away options within a quick walk of your choice of holiday rental!

But we are called 'glamping' pods for a reason. So when you come to stay with us, there is no need for clunky Calor Gas rings.

Each pod has got its own two-ringed cooker for your cooking comfort so there's ample power and space to rustle-up a quick curry, chilli, bolognaise or stew.

In short, we have got everything you need so there's no need for take-aways!
