An update on the garden for our regular visitors. It has been very different in the garden this year. After the long dry spell the garden is extra green and loads of growth in the trees and hedges. Last year we experimented with a self seeded wild garden section on an area of tree bark. It has grown again with with some amazing flowers. The squirrels and woodpeckers continue to visit. Thanks to Brent who caught a new visitor under the apple tree. We have not seen a rabbit before. Hope they can avoid Alfie and Willow. In the foreground you can see evidence of a mole. Wondering what will appear next.

Availability for June: 8 -14, 17 - 20, 22 - 30. Price is 55/night for 4+ nights and add 10.00/night up to three nights. For July and August 60/night. Front line workers and single people have a 5% discount.

Gwelfryn Bach Cottage is a converted barn mixing modern and old for two people and dogs. Three miles inland from Aberaeron in a rural area but not isolated. Private and secure car park and garden. Not suitable for people with mobility issues. We are taking bookings until the end of August. If you are nice people and interested in staying at the barn please make contact via email. Available dates: May 18 - 23, 26 - June 1

Devastated that our property sale has fallen through with only weeks to go and we are likely to lose our dream property. I sat in the sunny sitting room and looked out at the garden turning green again and the amazing old apple tree is in full bloom. There have been loads of bees this year. We are considering bookings from next week through until the end of July and then release booking times month by month. You can provisionally book further ahead but we cannot guarantee availability; you we would not lose out on a deposit. We cancelled the booking website so if you are nice people and interested in staying at the barn please make contact through the email address.

Good morning. The sun is shining at last. A note to our friends and first viewers. Sadly, we are preparing for a new phase in our lives. We have sold our house & barn and had an offer accepted on a new house; both are SSTC’s which is never a guarantee. However, we have withdraw from the booking site and would like to thank West Wales Holiday Cottages for their kindness and support. Wow.......over 70 enquiries in the last three days and a number of bookings up to the end of March. My apologies to those needing to book later in the year but personal circumstances restrict us to bookings three months ahead. One person asked about more pictures of the garden. Remember these were taken in the summer.

Good morning on a beautiful crisps sunny day. There will be some northern lights pics later taken by Holly last night from the rise just above the barn. We are experiencing a huge response from the FB ad and I am having difficulty keeping up with the enquiries. If you have not heard from me please shout. There are still dates available before the end of March. April availability will be released at the end of this month.

Gwelfryn Bach is a barn conversion for two people plus dogs near Aberaeron. We have opened the calendar for January 2025 onwards. You can book between January to March especially for long weekends. April bookings will be available at the end of January and for May at the end of February and so on. Prices continue to stay at bargain prices but the longer you stay the cheaper the nightly rate.

Just catching up on November. The old railway line into Aberaeron is beautiful at this time of year; just five minutes drive. The river has been swollen for some time. Caught these two pinching the peanuts. When the Barn is not being used the wildlife moves into the main garden.
