You can travel from Barra to Glasgow by flight with Loganair from £147 or take the CalMac ferry from Castlebay to Oban for £19.05 (4h 45m).

These waters are outstanding for spotting wildlife such as dolphins and, occasionally, whales. A highlight will be anchoring in Loch Harport on Skye to visit the famous Talisker Distillery.
