The Albatross Group got together last week for the annual Business & Barbecue event, set in the beautiful Bradbourne House, where we enjoyed some inspiring and challenging team building activities. We were delighted that so many from across the group could be there including lAlbatross European Escorted Tours own Shelley Poten, , Success Tours, Magari Tours and Albatross Motoring (Scenic Car Tours). Thanks to the Bradbourne House team for hosting us so well.

On Tuesday our Group Contracting team headed out for a team building day at Silverhand Estate in Kent, one of the country’s largest English wine producers, and what a fantastic day it was! It included: A welcome glass of pink fizz on arrival, scenic Land Rover tour around the stunning vineyards, an introduction to English winemaking, a tour of production from distilling to packaging, 4 tastings of some truly fabulous wines, painting your own wine bottle and making your own pizzas. Janine says "I'd highly recommend Silverhand Estate, it truly is the perfect venue, the staff were outstanding."

Grant is just back from a FAM trip with Irish Ferries and saw first hand how the new EES works at both Dover and Calais ports and what logistics are being put in place to ensure journeys are as smooth as possible. "We enjoyed a hearty breakfast onboard the Isle of Inishmore in their revamped club lounge and were lucky enough to be invited up to the bridge for a chat with the captain! On arrival in Calais, we paid a visit to the famous Dragon, the town hall with a quick climb up the bell tower, rounded off with a visit to the Lace Museum and Cheese/Wine tasting. On Thursday we visited Nausicaa – the largest aquarium in Europe! The Hauts-de-France region has so much to offer for groups only a short trip from the UK!"

Anneka went on a Brittany Cruises 50th anniversary celebration crossing yesterday.
It is Portsmouth Port’s 50th anniversary, and marks 50 years to the day since the first sailing from the great waterfront city to St Malo in Brittany. They were treated to a cruise around the Isle of Wight. Thanks to Brittany Ferries, Rhiannon and Diane, what a great day it was.
