Iceland was never meant to be rushed.

This 30-day self-drive journey is about getting lost in the best possible way — taking the long road, missing the turn on purpose, and letting curiosity pull you deeper into the island. With time on your side, you’re free to circle the Ring Road slowly, disappear into the Westfjords, cross the Highlands, and linger where most people only stop for minutes.

Some days are about epic landscapes — glaciers, volcanoes, waterfalls, black-sand beaches. Others are quieter: empty roads, forgotten fjords, small towns, hot springs found by chance. Driving yourself means Iceland reveals itself on its own terms, not on a schedule.

This isn’t a highlights tour.
It’s Iceland in full — raw, remote, and experienced the way it should be: one road, one wrong turn, one unforgettable day at a time.

There isn’t just one way to dive 🌊
Diving is a whole world of styles, each offering a completely different way to experience the ocean. From drifting effortlessly over coral reefs, to descending into historic wrecks, slipping through underwater caves, or diving on a single breath in total silence — how you dive shapes what you see, feel, and remember.

Some dives are calm and meditative.
Others are technical, demanding, and adrenaline-fuelled.
Some connect you deeply with marine life, while others immerse you in history, geology, or pure exploration.

This post dives into the many styles of diving — the different ways people explore beneath the surface, and how each one offers its own magic, challenge, and perspective on the underwater world.

Which style calls to you? 🤿

2026: Travel Somewhere Unexpected

2026 isn’t about ticking off countries or chasing what’s trending. It’s about finding the places that don’t shout the loudest — remote valleys, forgotten coastlines, quiet mountain villages, and islands you reach by boat, not hashtags. The places that still feel real.

This is travel for those ready to step away from the obvious. To follow the long road. To slow down. To choose experiences where stories matter more than selfies, and the journey is just as important as the destination.

In 2026, we’re looking towards places where time moves differently — desert communities shaped by resilience, wild landscapes that demand respect, cultures that welcome you in rather than perform for you. These are the journeys that change how you see the world, not just how your feed looks.

Less rush. Less noise. More connection.
Unusual places. Real experiences. Travel that surprises you — and stays with you long after you return.

From Kriss & Daniel 🎄

As the year draws to a close, we just want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us, travelled with us, shared stories, asked questions, and believed in doing things a little differently.

We hope this Christmas brings you rest, warmth, good food, deep conversations, muddy walks, wild places, and moments that truly matter. However you celebrate — or don’t — may it be gentle, grounding, and full of meaning.

Here’s to slowing down, reconnecting, and stepping into the new year with curiosity and purpose.

Merry Christmas from us both.

We always get asked why Thailand and in particular the lovely Island of Koh Samui. Kriss is here to tell you all about it. A few years ago Kriss and Daniel and a team of Locals created and placed a pilot Reef. With a very different formula. The idea simple. To create a lapping reef, That could help heel damaged coral and create a new eco system. After years of planning and beta formulas. The reef was placed. Now Kriss is back to discover what’s been going on.
