Volunteering and Work Experience away from home 🇮🇸
Volunteering is a core pillar of our programmes at Adventures for Students, it is something that is close to our hearts and our students have truly brought that to life during their time in Iceland. From supporting in classrooms to getting stuck into outdoor play, they’ve embraced the power of outdoor education and built meaningful connections with the children along the way. Their impact will last far beyond their visit too, as they’ve designed and created a fantastic mud kitchen for the children to enjoy for years to come. A brilliant example of learning, giving back, and leaving a legacy 🌱

This is the reality of working in Iceland ❄️

Things don’t always go to plan… but that’s all part of the adventure.

After severe weather warnings, we ended up snowed in at the ranch - but honestly, it turned into one of the best days. Games, movies, and plenty of laughs around a log fire 🔥

When we finally tried to head out, the vans had other ideas… yep, stuck in the snow 😅 But with a bit of determination (and a lot of teamwork), we got them moving again 💪

Moments like this remind us what it’s all about - adapting, supporting each other, and making memories along the way.

On to the next adventure… 🌍✨

What a busy day! Our Blackburn College students have arrived in Iceland safe and sound. With some quick thinking from our staff after multiple road closures, weather warnings and lots of snow they were unable to make it to ‘The Ranch’ so we adapted and the students and teachers are all settled in for the night in Reykjavík!

Let the adventure begin 💕
