If you’re heading to Italy in June… these strike dates can affect your trip 🇮🇹

Italy is beautiful in June, but it is also one of those months when you really need to keep an eye on transport updates before you travel.

There are several transport strikes listed in June, and some of them may affect trains, airports, buses, and local public transport in different parts of the country.

The main dates to watch are:

8 June — local public transport strikes in several cities and areas.

11–12 June — railway-related strike action that may affect parts of the national transport system.

13 June — aviation-related strikes affecting some airport services.

14 June — local public transport strike in Florence, with Autolinee Toscane listed for 24 hours.

22–23 June — rail and local transport actions in different areas, including Verona, Naples and Sardinia.

26 June — Trenitalia regional strike in Piemonte, from 09:00 to 16:59.

This does not mean every train, bus or flight in Italy will stop on these days. Strikes in Italy can be local, regional, sector-specific, reduced, cancelled, or updated close to the date.

But if you are travelling on or around these days, especially by train, bus, or through an airport, it is worth checking before you leave your hotel or before you book a tight connection.

Also, one thing many visitors do not know: Friday is often the day to check. New strike notices and updates are frequently published before the following week, and many transport strikes are scheduled around Fridays or close to weekends.

So if you are travelling in Italy in June, save this and check the official strike calendar before moving between cities.
