✈️ FROM COUNTY DURHAM TO THE COSTA DEL SOL 🇪🇸
As part of Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust’s commitment to providing exceptional opportunities and widening experiences for all pupils, children from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School recently took part in an international visit to Estepona, Spain, through the government-funded Turing Scheme.
This memorable visit enabled pupils to experience life in another country, develop independence, and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures and communities.
During their time in Spain, pupils:
🏫 Visited and collaborated with a partner school in Estepona
🇪🇸 Practised their language skills in authentic settings
🏛️ Explored local history, culture and community life
🦁 Enjoyed a full-day visit to Selwo Aventura
⛪ Visited Málaga Cathedral and discovered one of Spain’s most historic cities
🌊 Experienced life on the Costa del Sol while creating memories to last a lifetime
Educational visits like these help bring learning to life... building confidence, broadening horizons and encouraging young people to see the world from a different perspective.
A huge thank you to the pupils, staff and partner organisations who helped make this fantastic opportunity possible.
