Just a little message, I know that the media is negative on holidays now - it would be good if the media and the government were on the same page 🤷🏽♀️ - no one has a definite answer yet, no one except Boris and the Global Travel Taskforce has the answers and those answers will be released on the 12th April as per the advise on the Gov website.
What the media is also not reporting is that this 5k fine will be reviewed every 35 days. So this is to stop those people who are travelling during these current restrictions and lockdown.
Please don't panic, I've woken up to messages of people panicked, thinking their holidays are cancelled.
We know changes / restrictions may come in, but at the moment we are following Boris' roadmap out of lockdown which told us the Travel announcement would be the 12th April 2021!
CURRENTLY....
✅✅Holidays are illegal right now, and have been since the UK went into lockdown. This is not something new, what is new is the fine that will be imposed on those lying about reasons for essential travel who are travelling right now!
✅✅It is not illegal to book and look forward, and ANY Tour Operator I book your holidays with are FULLY ABTA and ATOL PROTECTED, if your holiday is cancelled by the Tour Operator due to government restrictions then a refund or a chance to amend would be issued.
✅✅The Global Travel Taskforce will report and update us and the nation on the 12th April, (as per the link in comments) when Boris Johnson released the roadmap out of lockdown this was announced, and we are waiting for it. Travel will restart at the very earliest on the 17th May. Yes there will be some countries I assume we won’t be able to travel to at that earliest date but if you are affected by this then I can amend you
✅✅At this moment, unless you have been advised that your dates or destination are affected your holiday is planned to go ahead.
