Sign & Rhyme Fun and playful baby and toddler signing and singing groups with songs, musical instruments and stories to develop early interactive skills Hello – I’m Marie.

My experience as a speech and language therapy assistant, coupled with my signing skills (British Sign Language Stage 2), sparked my enthusiasm for baby signing. I’ve been teaching baby signing for some time now, and I can appreciate the benefits for both you and your child: it’s a fun and rewarding way to make the most of your baby’s natural ability to communicate; it encourages and supports thei

r language development - you will always use signs together with the spoken word - giving them a head start when they begin to use their vocabulary, spelling and reading skills; and it strengthens the bond between you and your child.

🥰 Babies can understand so much before they actually talk, and baby signing enables them to communicate their emotions and needs effectively. Your ability to understand these needs through simple signs gives you the confidence to respond appropriately and helps to reduce frustration for you and your baby. The learning process is great fun, too and the classes are relaxed and friendly. 🥰 Weekly ‘Song in a Bag’ sessions. Age range birth to five years - £5 per session or £22.00 for five weeks (please note there are no refunds given for missed sessions if you pay in five week blocks.) Lots of fun for you and your little ones. Interactive session of signing and singing, musical instruments and so much more for you all to enjoy.


🥰 Five-week baby signing course to include handouts, £40, payable in advance. Age range 6months to twelve months. Learn specific signs to use with your baby in their daily routine. Lots of fun for you and your baby, a very interactive session for you all to enjoy.

Hi everyone, thank you for coming along to Sign & Rhyme today at Bagworth Community Centre 🥰. It was lovely to see you all 😊.

We had lots of fun with our songs and we made lots of noise with our musical instruments 😂. Great to see you all enjoying yourselves banging our drum 😍🤩.

Well done to one of our boys who guessed what was in our 'Sparkly Box' - was it a bird, was it a plane? No, it was a 'BUS' 🚌 🤣🥳.

Circle songs were energetic - especially with Run Run Dinosaur🦖🦖🤣.

I hope you all have a great week and I shall look forward to seeing you all again next Wednesday 🥰.

The children at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth did fantastic clapping out of some of their names this morning 🥰. It was great to hear them making all the sounds in their names 🥰. Well done all of you 🥳.

Although the children didn't guess what was in our 'Sparkly Box', they did have some great ideas of what it might be - they thought it might be a butterfly🦋, a crocodile🐊, a ladybird🐞, a tiger🐅, a bird🐦, a lion🦁, a giraffe🦒 - but oh no, it was a DINOSAUR🦖. Well done for all of your guesses 🥳.

Well done to our 'Musical Stars' this week who made some beautiful music 🤩🤩, also well done to the rest of the children who listened really well to them 🥳🥳.

I hope you all have a fun week and I shall look forward to seeing you all again next Friday🥰.

Sunny smiles at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth this morning, so we enjoyed singing 'The Sun Has Got His Hat On' 🤣.

We had a lovely time with our instruments, and we also had some great tunes from our 'Muscial Stars' ⭐️⭐️. Well done everyone 🥳.

Our circle songs were energetic this week 😍. Not only did we have dinosaurs roaring🦖, elephants stomping🐘, penguins waddling🐧, snakes slithering🐍, we also had the Incy Wincy children jumping, twirling, clapping - and then we all had a nice sit down! PHEW 🥵! Great fun 😍.

I shall look for to seeing you all again soon for some more action songs 🤣.

We had a special treat today at Sign & Rhyme at Bagworth Community Centre🥰. Rachael and Maisie came back to visit us, and we are hoping they will come to one of our sessions in the summer holidays before Maisie goes to school in September🤩🤞x

Story time was lovely, the children sat beautifully for our story 'Just Like Daddy' 🥰. The children liked touching the baby animals in the book. they touched their 'stripes, spots, fur and stroked a cuddly blanket' that was over daddy 😍. Two little girls were a bit unsure, one girl stayed by her mummy but stretched her finger out to touch, and the other little girl looked at the book and went to touch but withdrew her hand. This was great communication from them, through their body language and expression they were able to let us know how unsure they were ❤️❤️.

You were all fantastic at instrument time, even as young as you are you are able to keep your instruments quiet for such a long time - this shows what great attention and listening skills you all have 🥳Well done all of you 🥳.

Just a reminder Sign & Rhyme is not running next week, so hopefully I will see you all again on 25th June 😍.

We had a 'Fun Friday' at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth this morning🥰.

All the children did great listening when our ⭐️'Musical Stars'⭐️
played some lovely music with their chosen instruments🥰. Well done everyone, you are all ⭐️Stars⭐️.

Story time was good with our book 'Does A Cow Say BOO!'. You did great, telling me that pigs🐖, cows🐄, dogs🐕, cockerels🐓, sheep🐑, horses🐎 and cats🐈‍⬛ don't say 'BOO' - YOU DO!! 🤣. Lovely to hear all your animal noises too 🥰.

I shall look forward to seeing you all again next Friday🥰.

🥰Happy Wednesday everyone🥰.

We had a few little ones today who had just woken up, but it didn't take them long to perk up - especially for our JIG-A-JOG song 🤣
It was lovely to see all your children exploring the toys and making friends with each other😍.

So cute to see and hear the children do their 'SHHH' sound for keeping quiet with our little bird 🥳

🥳We wished one of our little girls a very happy birthday 🎈for next week as she goes off to visit the zoo - we hope you have a fab time 🥳.

I shall look forward to seeing you all next Wednesday 🥰

We had lots of smiles and giggles at Sign & Rhyme this morning at Bagworth Community Centre 🥰.

We welcomed a new family today 🥰, thank you for coming along and hopefully we will see you again next week🥰.

Our sea activity was fun🤩, the children loved🔵 making the octopus wriggle🐙, the fish🐟 leaping in the water, and we had a fabulous time with our 🟢colourful selection of bouncy balls🟣 in the sea, bouncing them up and down 🟠. The children also enjoyed hiding 🔴underneath the sea - we had lots of 'static hair'🤣.

It is so lovely to see the children interacting with one another, like joining in with each other for singing, sharing toys with one another and also showing their younger siblings how to beat the drum or tidying things away🥰.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week and I shall look forward to seeing you again next Wednesday😍

Hi everyone, thank you for coming along this morning for our Sign & Rhyme session at Bagworth Community Centre. It was great to see you all🥰.

It was lovely to see one of our very young girls communicate today by reaching for her mummy's hands so that mummy could help her choose an object from our tray 🥰, and she also did it again when she needed a little help with lifting the flaps in the book at story time❤️. Such a sweet moment 🥰.

As children get older some words can be tricky for them to say, and they may tend to miss out some of the sounds in that word. By clapping out these tricky words for your child, they will be able to hear all the sounds in the word and eventually say the word correctly🥳.
So instead of them saying 'efant' they will begin to say EL-E-PHANT
Speech sounds develop at different ages and stages, so they won't have all of these sounds yet - but they will be listening to them 🥰.

I can tell you do a lot of singing of our song 'JIG_A_JOG' at home 🥰. Even as young as some of the children are in our group they get very excited when the horse comes out , they start jigging before we have started singing🤣❤️BRILLIANT.

Happy Tuesday everyone😍. We had a lovely time with the children at Incy Wincy’s Preschool - Bagworth this morning🥰.

Our '✨✨sparkly box✨✨' is back✨✨. The children had to guess what was in the box. I let them know it was an animal and then they had to guess what it might be. Suggestions that they gave were - HORSE 🫏 , CAT🐈‍⬛and TIGER🐯 , good suggestions but it was a... GIRAFFE🦒. Well done for trying to guess what it was 🥳.You can play this game at home as well, take it in turns to hide one item in the box, then take turns to guess what it is 🤔🥰.

⭐️⭐️Again the children did great listening to our 'Musical Stars'⭐️⭐️ this week. Well done to 'THE STARS' 🥳🥳.
