We are delighted to announce that we've been presented with the prestigious National Forest Transformative Tourism Champion award and we're so proud of this achievement!
Just to quickly explain, the National Forest’s Transformative Tourism framework, which was launched recently, has a holistic approach to delivering meaningful and lasting change that benefits all.
The framework enables growth that supports thriving tourism businesses, like us, and others of course; it benefits communities without overwhelming them, restores the natural environment, and accelerates the Forest’s transition to a low-carbon future.
We are so delighted to have a recognised role in this important venture, as Wigwam Holidays Charnwood Forest is set within Charnwood Forest, one of several Transformative Tourism Clusters.
As a tourism business that has, from the start, sought to offer exemplary glamping experiences for our guests being given this award is 'the icing on the cake'.
Wigwam Holidays Charnwood Forest includes stunning trees, is set in the heart of nature and peacefulness.
For the 2026 season, we have elevated our accommodation offering with three superior cabins now proving popular with our guests: these include hot tubs, pergolas, a covered decking area, a woodburning stove, special seating and more.
We tick the box for immersive forest short breaks, and our location means guests staying with us can reach other Transformative Tourism venues including Conkers, Bradgate Park, Calke Abbey and others.
The award also matches our belief in helping nature, supporting local communities and enterprises and offering immersive short breaks in our beautiful cabins.
We are very proud of this achievement, and it is a testament to the work we do ‘in the background’ and shows our commitment to our guests, the environment and the local community.
