For over 30 years we have had the pleasure of owning VW campers. From vintage split screens and bay windows to more modern T4’s and now the ultimate in luxury the T5 California. Whilst we love the old vintage vans we have found many benefits for holidaying in the modern day versions. Firstly the secure knowledge that we will arrive at our destination without breaking down on route! But also the modern day conveniences that come with the T5 California, such as air-con, larger more comfortable beds, heating, electronic roofs, fridge and so on.
We have over the years had many memorable camping holidays with our 3 girls in our various campers but have also experienced quite a few wet ones. It is always a joy to kick back in a nice dry warm camper listening to the rain outside with a cuppa or glass of wine, playing cards whilst waiting for the weather to improve. Sitting in a wet tent however can be quite miserable with small children!
We have camped throughout the UK and beyond and are very happy to offer any advice for the more novice camper. Our love of camping has never waned over the last 30 years and in 2013 we spent several months touring America in a camper, however we don’t suggest you go that far!
