Kayโs Facebook fix is starting up again soon. Highly recommend this supported course to grow your direct bookings.
๐๏ธ Facebook gives you a voice (not just a listing) ๐๏ธ
(Number 2 in my series: 10 reasons why Facebook might be your best booking tool)
Airbnb gives you boxes to tick. Bedrooms: tick. Wi-Fi: tick. Itโs efficient, but itโs also impersonal.
Facebook is different. It gives you a voice. It lets you speak directly to your guest, as a real person. You can share stories, talk about the character of your place, show what matters to you.
And this matters more than you might think. According to Sprout Social, 64% of consumers want brands to connect with them โ and 76% are more likely to buy from someone they feel aligned with. Thatโs even more true when weโre talking about holidays, which are emotional purchases at heart.
People buy from people.
No algorithm is going to pick up the charm of your homemade guidebook or the fact you leave oat milk in the fridge. But Facebook gives you space to show those things and speak to the kind of guest whoโll love them.
So how about doing that today?
Find a photo that shows why your place is perfect for someone in particular โ and post it. Tell them itโs for them. Speak to them directly. Let me know what you do!
If you're interested in turning Facebook into a booking engine, Facebook Fix, which starts next month, is for you. Look out for details on my website andx here over the coming days.

P.S. This is me outside ours for a post for my place. This speaks to outdoorsy couples with babies - one of our core markets - and it also shows my face and reminds potential guests who they could be buying from.
