🎯 Allied Taxis Open competition 🎯
Last night the first Allied Taxis Shetland Women’s Darts Open competition was held in the Lerwick Legion.
Seventeen ladies entered and it was decided to play the competition in round robin format on four boards with the top two from each board going through to the next stage.
Winners of the boards were Jackie Black, Andrea Henderson, Sandra MacRitchie, Rosaine Sandison, Aaliyah Leask, Elizabeth Smith, Zara MacRitchie and Wendy Somerville.
The quarter-final names were drawn at random with Rosaine v Andrea, Zara v Wendy, Elizabeth v Sandra and Aaliyah v Jackie. Andrea, Zara, Sandra and Jackie won their games to progress to the semi-finals.
Andrea then beat Zara 2-0 while Sandra beat Jackie 2-1 to set up the final.
In the final, Andrea won against Sandra 2-0. Andrea dropped only one leg of darts the whole night – well done! The new trophy was presented Susan Anderson.
Congratulations also to Rosaine Sandison for hitting 180 🎯
Some great games of darts were played – good practice for the Intercounty next week!

This has been brought to my attention today after one of our drivers had a problem with some teenagers in the taxi last night. Va**ng is not allowed by law in vehicles and anyone under 18 should not even have a v**e as that is also illegal!

As we’ve owned a taxi company for a few years now, when we put up Facebook posts at busy times to say the 4G is not working, we are not actually saying it to be awkward, we are saying it because we know the town is bustling with extra people, the weather is rubbish and 4G network just does NOT work, especially in over at the street, it doesn’t work there on a quiet day!! 🔥🪓🔥🪓

So for this very reason we are CASH ONLY for the next few days. Please have CASH! Don’t say to us in the car you’ve seen this post and then say you don’t have cash.

It also makes us move faster as we are not sitting about playing we card machines! 🔥🪓🔥🪓🔥

Due to the wind, the 4G signal is being awful today and is affecting our card machines! PLEASE WHERE POSSIBLE, COULD YOU HAVE CASH 💷 HANDY when getting a taxi this weekend as its meant to be pretty rubbish until Sunday at least. 🌬🌊

We are taking bookings for going to the
halls, book online at Allied Taxis Shetland Ltd and use our advanced booking tab (not on the day though) or give us a call on 01595 690069 📞☎️📱

For the way home we are working on a first come first serve basis, this prevents waiting around for folk who have changed their minds on departure times!!!

We have plenty cars on for getting to the halls but you need to be booked in to make sure you get one, in it to win it as they say!

Traffic in town after the procession can be a nightmare but we aim to get to you on time as best we can 🔥🔥

It will also speed things up and help if you have CASH, the more folk in town the less likely the 4G will work! 💰💵💷

New Years Eve.

Getting fairly booked up now for tonight. Please be mindful that we may be a few minutes here or there but just try to be ready even 5 minutes early!

We are hoping the snow doesn’t come but we will only know that if it does but I won’t be putting any of my drivers at risk later on.

We will be stopping for the bells between 11.45 and 12.30!!! So no phone calls will be answered during this time as we will be getting fed and watered ourselves!
