We are a small business and have been farming the family crofts for 4 generations. Douglas's mother came to Tow in Cunningsburgh aged 18 months with her parents, and lived in the farm house for the rest of her life. We, Douglas and Sheila, have been farming here the last 35 years joined by our son, Jamie, in the last few years as Douglas heads towards retirement. The first members of the 5th gener

ation, little Isla and Phoebe, are now living with their parents in the original farm house and love going outside to visit the animals. Based in the South of Shetland, we have a passion for our Islands and all things local that we want to share with you. Our transport enterprise grew from providing accessible school transport in the early 90's and our coach enterprise has been established since 2002. We are pleased to offer an accessible coach on some of our tours for passengers who are less mobile or who use a wheelchair. We now look forward to sharing our love of Shetland with you, showing you some of the traditional aspects of Shetland, along with some of the most beautiful and striking sights Shetland offers.

We are pleased to be welcoming guests from MSC Virtuosa today on this maiden visit to Lerwick. What a lovely day to explore Shetland and what a brilliant photo from Scott Goudie.

The massive 332 meter, 2019 built "MSC Virtuosa" passing Mousa broch this morning on her maiden voyage to Lerwick.

We’ve just seen our first Puffin of the year, on the waters beneath Sumburgh Head. Fingers crossed, in the coming days we’ll see them back on the cliffs beneath the Lighthouse!!!

⏰ LESS THAN TWO MONTHS TO GO! ⏰

In less than two months, Puffins will return to their clifftop burrows, beneath Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, for the summer breeding season. Although Puffins mate for life, they spend eight months of the year alone, bobbing about in the Atlantic. Soon, they will start to make their way, closer to shore, to find their mate of previous years, and return to the breeding colony.

The beginning of April is such a special time in Shetland, and it is a privilege to share the summer months with these characterful, captivating seabirds.
