It’s never just about the summit.

Our very first London to Paris ride.

What started as a recce in April 2013…
became our first ever challenge just a few months later in July.

190 miles.
A small group of riders.
And no idea what it would become.

Over a decade on, we’ve taken thousands of cyclists across the UK and Europe, raised tens of thousands for charities and built challenges in locations all over the world.

But this was where it all began.

Not just a van… part of the team.

From 2016 to 2025, Charlie travelled nearly 100,000 miles with us.

UK. Scotland. Wales. Europe.
Even multiple trips from Slovenia to Croatia.

If there was a challenge happening, Charlie was there.

Mainly driven by Mike (our logistical mastermind), making sure everything ran smoothly.

He had his moments too…

Including the time Alan put the wrong fuel in him in Germany 😅

But he kept going.

Charlie may be retired now, but he played a huge part in building Challenge Central.

Every challenge needs a Charlie.
